You may have seen this report about the magazine ''Guitarist''.

This is about the French edition, but from what I read on their UK website, it is also in the English edition.

George is on the cover of the january issue of french mag "Guitarist". As the name implies the mag is for guitar players but is sure to be of interest to any George or beatle fan. The article is the longest I have seen on George so far (30 pages!!) among all the tributes, though I have not been able to get "Rolling Stone" yet. There is also a special section of sheet music (10 pages)PLUS a feature on George's sound (the effects he used, how, which amps...).It is very complete and I can assure you that I have nothing to do with the paper(!). The cover is a picture of George circa 1988. Their web site is guitarist.fr and must be in french though I didn't check it.It might have an English version as many French sites do.

There is a Guitar World Acoustic that has George on the cover I haven't bought it yet but I assume it is different from the Guitar World article even if it just may be gearing its mentions of his music to his work with an acoustic guitar but I thought you all might want to know about it.

Actually yes, there are 2 different issues of Rolling Stone magazine: the one with the "cooper trim" which is an special issue dedicated to George (probably the FIRST Rolling Stone issue ever) and the regular bi-weekly edition also with George (White Album photo) cover ... If you haven't seen the regular edition: there are less pages but highly recommended as a memorabilia ...tribute lines by great musicians close to George, interview by A. De Curtis and "25 essential Harrison performances" by David Fricke.
You should check also EVERY guitar related mag because ALL of them have some pages dedicated to the great George, even if he's not on the cover or at least a small pic of him with the line "Tribute to George Harrison" is worth it.
I probably could get you a list. Happy hunting......

Does anyone know if Goldmine ever came out with a tribute issue for George? I thought it was supposed to be out in January, but I haven't heard anything about it. One of my friends thinks they might use her letter, so I'm sure she would've told me if she'd seen it.

I've got the latin american issue of that one, too. Nice tribute to George - about 26 pages.

Well the latin american features mainly what you had described about the special issue of Rolling Stone, only that it's translated to Spanish so that us Spanish speakers get to understand it better.

I don't think there's more.

I have the Australian Rolling Stone Special Edition and it is 96 pages. The others that I have collected from Australia are Who Weekly, Aus Time, Guitar World, Guitar World Acoustic, Hello and the regular March edition of Australian Rolling Stone which seems to differ a bit from US. That was all that I could find.
From Nov 1998 I have Guitarist which did a huge special feature on George during a year that was not fashionable to be doing something about George.
