Default Shabby Road

So I'm not trying to sell anything, I think I've seen some members from the old Shabby Road board at (www.beatles-discography.com) and I was wondering if anybody's heard anything from craig or anything about it, or if he disappeared into relative obscurity after it shut down for the final time in September 06.

I saw that the URL at B-D has been bought (by Craig, I assume) but there's no site in place.

Is there any word? Also, how many people here were members there at once point? I saw a couple names I recognized (Serena, zipp, Father McKenzie) I was just curious how many other Shabby refugees migrated here

i have no idea what happened to him, i was wondering the same thing....

i think many of the other members migrated to the applesauce records forum. since the closure of the board everyone's lost touch and interest. it's a shame, he had a great informative web site.

Well, I know a lot of people migrated to ASR, and since there's a new board (ASR now has the power board features that the original Shabby Road had) But yeah, it's a shame, because the site was good, well before he decided to make parts of it only avaliable in his book.

Also, the forum was awesome before it got shut down for virtually no reason like 4 times.

I used to be a member of Shabby Road. My name there was bec_walker and is on most other Beatle boards except this one. After it collapsed I joined this board, ASR, Strawberry Fields and Nowhere Land.

Despite my efforts I've never really been able to find a board as good as Shabby. I felt at home there and had so much fun. If it ever started up again I'd definitley join. There was just something about it, and afterwards no other boards could compare!

Yeah that is strange. It was a good site, and then all of a sudden it was gone. Then about a month ago, he submitted it back to the links database, and I just assumed it was back up and running. Now it's gone again.

Ha, I used to be a member of that forum a few years ago, and then it disappeared so I came here :)

I used to be a member on there too. You might recognize me as Yellow Beatle. I know, very original, right? Well, it was my first forum I joined and I couldn't think of anything... After it got shut down the first time, I switched to ScouseofDistinction all 3 other times. That name stuck.

Like bec_walker [I recognize you!], or walrus_mania67 on here, I have made an effort to find a forum similar to it. I absolutely enjoyed all of you guys and the different personalities you brought to Shabby. I noticed a lot of these people migrated to ASR or Nowhere Land, forums I did enjoy, but I forgot my password for ASR and Nowhere Land got shut down as well... Finally, I came here. I'm not saying I do not love Beatleslinks because I absolultely do. It had and still has things that those forums did not, but [always a but] it just doesn't have the same atmosphere Shabby did. I'm sure many of you Beatlelinkers would feel the same way if this site closed down and you joined a forum like Shabby.

Anyroad, I have migrated here.
