There's not too many songs I can think of right now, but a recent one might be "No Quarter" by Led Zeppelin. Robert's haunting vocals

Neil Young's Southern Man always gives me chills.

Also "The Day the Music Died", the original, "Whiter Shade of Pale", "You Sang to Me", and "Real Love". The last two are songs I danced with my kids to as babies. Also, the whole Kenny Loggins "Return to Pooh Corner" cd.

Did I say China Doll?
A fantastic song that captivates me especially when the harmonies kick in.

Everybody is listing real cool stuff! What really gives me
chills is "Walk On" and "Where the Streets Have No Name" by
U-2, and "The Porpoise Song" by the Monkees. CSNY's "DeJevu" is also way cool!

Angel by jimi hendrix
angel came down from heaven yesterday she stayed just long enough for afternoon tea.then she told me a story yesterday a story about the love between the moon and the deep blue sea.and when it was time to go she spead her wings high over me and she said I sha;ll return tomarrow,And i said Fly on my sweet angel fly on threw the sky fly on my sweet angel tommarow i will be by your side. And sure enough the morning comes to me silver wings set aglow by the child sunrise.and as the blue birds and sparrows envy me,She said I love you little boy and today you will fly .she kissed me once and the feeling so good she made me cry and now we can fly together. And I said fly on my sweet angel fly on threw the sky Fly on my sweet angel forever i will be by your side."

Almost anything by Marc Bolan/T.Rex . . . less the hit singles (although "Get It On" is absolutely brilliant!) than the deep album cuts and b-sides. "Jeepster," "Bebop Moon," "Raw Ramp," "Planet Queen," "Girl" (not quite as good as Rubber Soul's "Girl," but, then again, what is? ), "Lean Woman Blues," and of course "King of the Mountain Cometh" . . . all of them are so unbelievably beautiful and moving and perfect. IMHO, Marc Bolan is the only artist who can even hold a candle to the Beatles. Unfortunately, T. Rex is criminally obscure out here in the States, but I believe Marc Bolan has a cult following in Britain.
