Default Across the Universe Question

I don't know the answer to this, so I can't say if it is right or wrong. I was trying to figure this out.

What does the foreign phrase "Jai Goro da a om" mean in Across the Universe? I don't think I spelled it, but it is the phrase they keep repeating at the end of the song. What is the English translation?

This is what I've found...

"Jai Guru Deva Om", means "I give thanks to the Heavenly Teacher."

The words are translated loosely from Sanskrit. Guru Deva was the Maharashi's teacher. "Jai" means "I give hope or thanks to". Some say it means "victory". "Om" is, apparently, the natural vibration of the universe.

I hope this helps.

Cool Harb.
There's also an artist with a very similar sounding name. I need to look at my books, and then I'll tell you.

Now go quickly to your turntable and rotate this phrase backwards----It's another P.I.D clue.
