"Lies" - The Knickerbockers

Mary Karr is a poet, essayist and memoirist. Also the Peck Professor of English Literature at Syracuse University.
Born and raised in east Texas near the Gulf she has released four books of poetry and three memoirs.

Rodney Crowell is a songwriter, singer and musician. Also from east Texas, born and raised outside of Houston and the Gulf.
He has released 13 albums and produced records by others most note worthy by ex-wife Rosanne Cash.
He was influenced by Guy Clark and Townes Van Zandt and a shared (with me that is) love and respect for John Lennon's writing.
I highly recommend his "Diamonds And Dirt" and "Fate's Right Hand" albums.

Both have been a fan of the others work but never met until last year Crowell called up Karr and asked for a dinner meet.
They said with in fifteen minutes they were both twelve years old again reliving their Texas past.
They shared some things in common like a violent childhood, alcoholic parents and bullet holes in the houses where they lived.
Crowell asked Karr if she would like to write some lyrics so that he could put them to music for songs.
The result is the answer to this thread.

Daily Mail by Radiohead. It's one of those songs that Radiohead have released online over the past few years. I'm not sure what it's about particularly but I'm supposing it's being critical of the Daily Mail which is a controversial and borderline racist/zenophobic newspaper in the uk but do we really want or need to hear Thom moaning about it?
