I love the songs and I love the person. I guess we love George, because we see us in Him.

These two sentences summed it up nicely. SpaceDaisy also said it quite well.

And we also love that man's beautiful wavy hair!

For me, it is also

by SpaceDaisy: ... his words, his music, his spiritual thirst, his genius... However for me it kinda just fell into place. You see, I always enjoyed The Beatles music... Then one day I realized that he had become my favorite Beatle.

This Harrison-McCartney fan can certainly relate to that!

The strange part came when we all started realizing how much like the Beatle we had come to hold as our favorites we were. In my case, I have always been the one who had the kind of quiet but sharp wit, and sarcasm that often left the other three wondering if I was serious or not. ... Though I am not Hindu, I am deeply religious. ... guess I have always felt just drawn to George. He is my favorite because...there are many things I do appreciate about him .... His amazing sense of humor; at times silly, at times biting, and sometimes cynical. His lyrics, I can't even begin to describe them. His music makes me feel more than almost any other artist. Of course he is an exceedingly attractive man! (can't overlook that fact!) Most of all I think it is his thirst for truth and for God that I appreciate above all else about George.

I think it is only natural for many people to seek similiar qualities/characteristics in their Beatle or Beatles of choice. Many Harrison fans, myself included can relate to George because he was a private man; he was able to take up for himself quite well and he had a gift for natural expression.

George was also an incredible poet. Just LISTEN to his songs. His lyrics remain nonpareil and so does his natural talent.

This in itself is not strange. The strange part came when we all started realizing how much like the Beatle we had come to hold as our favorites we were. In my case, I have always been the one who had the kind of quiet but sharp wit, and sarcasm that often left the other three wondering if I was serious or not. Despite being my closest friends, they didn't always know what to think of me. Most importantly however is the spiritual side. Though I am not Hindu, I am deeply religious. In fact I am now a youth minister. I guess I have always felt just drawn to George. He is my favorite because none of the others hold that magnetic draw for me. There are many things I do appreciate about him however. His amazing sense of humor; at times silly, at times biting, and sometimes cynical. His lyrics, I can't even begin to describe them. His music makes me feel more than almost any other artist. Of course he is an exceedingly attractive man! (can't overlook that fact!) [insert by BB1964 - yeah, George was indeed very attractive and we all know I love that man's thick, lush, luxuriant wavy hair! That man's hair alone had its own brand of appeal.] Most of all I think it is his thirst for truth and for God that I appreciate above all else about George.

How well I can relate to that, Daisy! George's music has become a part of my church as of late 2003. Seriously, the Monday Night Prayer Group at my church has discovered an appreciation of George they probably never even knew they had. George has helped so many people appreciate and recognize the spiritual component of their lives and he has, through his words, art and example shown that if you don't know where you're going, any road'll take you there.

I am not Hindu, either, but I am deeply religious and the Catholic Church is very important to me. George's music makes me feel so strongly and nobody else's music has ever had the kind of deeply intense effect on me that George's music had and continues to have.
