Default The Great Beatlebate V

In your own opinion should the 3 beatles have stood up to John and not allowed Yoko to "set up bed" and hang around in the studio during the later years. Consider the point that no one was really allowed to do this earlier in the groups career. Please don't consider that an argument within the group and possible breakup could be the result of agreeing with this statement. I just want to hear what you would do if you were Paul, George , or Ringo.

Let me be Paul...tehe
If I were him (well, knowing him) I would be (he was) against Yoko hanging around in the Studio, that was a distraction for them, surely, and for John most of all. The constant presence in the recording studio of Woko was against an unspoken code amongst the lads not to allow wives and girlfriends into the studio. Add that Yoko had a huge effect on him... altering his style, and inspiring such songs as Revolution #9... I think I said all, now I must leave you since Heaher is waiting for lunch (oooops, I am too into the part )

I'm sure one or more of them talked with John in the loo about this (it was probably the only time she wasn't with him). John just wasn't interested in what they had to say about it. Pushing him would have just caused more arguments. They tolerated her for the sake of the group. Paul, George & Ringo often took turns being the peace keeper.

Actually, I remember reading that Yoko would follow John into the bathroom.

John would have her come in as he was scared she'd find someone else.
Basically,if Yoko wasn't allowed at the sessions,John would never have shown up.
As fro the "no wives/girlfriends in the studio" rule (not counting the party atmosphere for All You Need Is Love broadcast) it was Paul who broke the rule,as then-girlfriend Francie Schwartz was at sessions before Yoko was.
