Default The Peter Sellers recordings

In the covers thread the Peter Sellers covers have been mentioned.

There are in WinMX three different groups of these:

The four songs he did do with George Martin for Parlophone, A Hard Day's night,Help!,She Loves You (Dr. Strangelove voices, usually referred to as the "Nazi" version),and She Loves You (using the voice of his character,Dr. Phil McCafferty, referred to as the "Irish" or the "Irish Dentist" version).

The Peter sellers tape. This is a tape of White Album mixes Ringp gave to him.

"Peter Sellers sings the Beatles": From hearing them, they sound like someone doing impersonations of Peter Sellers characters.

Default Re: The Peter Sellers recordings

What a coincidence, I was just looking at WinMX and noticed that there were long waiting lists for some of these. I did get She Loves You though.

I love She Loves You and the maybe better known A Hard Day's Night is still very good.

On Peter Sellers’ Irish version of “She Loves You,” does anyone know who the second voice belongs to, the actor playing “Seamus”? It doesn’t sound like Sellers is doing both voices.
Chatter on, son, chatter on. A touch of the writer’s cramp will soon sort you out.

I always thought his covers were parodies.
