Here is the EPK which has been seen before by many no doubt..but so are many Beatles songs we still talk about..
The interviews are by Dave Stewart and Jools Holland. You can see Dave Stewart carrying a small video camera and the one he has reminds me of the one George is holding on this picture with one of the Cirque Du Soleil clowns which could mean Dave was filming things for George privately..maybe..
The re-setting of the album cover is nice where they replace the gnomes which were references to JP&R.
An interesting note he makes is about 'demos' where he says many songs did not even have a demo.. he was just playing them to Phil Spector so he could have an idea of what the songs were and the engineer just happened to plug a mike in. That does make sense in a way because the demos as we know them were all in fact the built up of the album recordings in the studio.. ok well apart from the songs which in parts were played with and for the other Beatles
maybe interesting for some
"Everyone should have themselves regularly overwhelmed by Nature"
- George Harrison
Tom Petty said that Dave Stewart videoed everything. Petty also said one time he was at his house, and Stewart had been in the hospital, and he videoed himself while the nurse was giving him an enema. Which should explain the mystery of the camera.
There's a really nice picture in Conversations with Tom Petty:
"Most magic is a trick, an illusion. But [when The Beatles played the Ed Sullivan Show], this was real. Man oh man, was it real." -- Tom Petty | The Petty Archives
