I like Paul's solo stuff the most, but my favorite Beatle during the Beatles era would have to be George. He seemed really approachable and down to earth. Plus his songwriting really transformed into greatness near the end of the Beatles.

Sir James Paul McCartney. He was/is adorable, had/has incredible energy, wrote/writes great songs, multi-instrumentalist. Loved/love that left-handed bass! I even like some of his more recent work. Kicked-butt at Wrigley Field last year!!
