Yeah, but that's music for little kids. Why even waste time thinking about these songs when they're not meant for adults.

BB, I would bet that George liked "Jingle Bell Rock,"
a sweet little rock-a-billy song by Bobby Helm, who
also did a nice version of "Special Angel."

I liked the opening of Bruce's "Santa...." when he
asks the audience if they had been good, he sounds
fun and friendly. But the song IS a bit rough.

The Twelve Days of Christmas, no matter who is singing it. There needs to be a shortened version.

I have to put up with that atrocious song every day by that cushion faced diva at work. I am so sick of hearing the same songs day in and day out and I can't stand the way Mariah screams that dreadful number. I'd rather hear birds that screech instead.

As for "The 12 Days of Christmas," the only issue I have with it is that the gifts from #9-12 change. Usually it's 9 ladies dancing, but after that, you could have 10-12 lords a leaping/fiddlers playing/drummers drumming, etc. Those last few days get a lot of variation. I wish there was one standard version.

Personally, I don't like much Christmas music. Practically everything that's been mentioned is on my list, too. I used to like it, but now it just drives me crazy. Whenever I'm listening to the radio and they play a Christmas song I change the station.

I can handle the Beatles (and solo Beatles) X-Mas songs because, hey, it's The Beatles. But other than that, they can take their Christmas music and play it for someone who actually likes it!

I can't stand "Jingle Bell Rock," and even if my favorite Beatle heartily endorsed it, I still find it a darned irritating song and that darn Jingle Horse gets on my last nerve. I suppose that when it first came out, it was considered daring for its time, but it never worked for me.

Ditto. However, there are a lot of Christmas
songs I like, but the ones I listed above are the
ones that I just can't stand. I, too change the
station whenever Christmas carols come on and
when guests come over for Christmas dinner, I
don't play Christmas carols because everybody
is already good and tired of them.

I wish people would just let Christmas music be good
instead of hammering you over the head with it. A
little is fine, but we are into the season for overkill.

Actually, I like all Christmas music. There really isn't any that I don't like or get tired of quickly - but there is an exception. It's already been mentioned, but I can't stand Bruce Springsteen's version of "Santa Claus is Coming to Town". I like the song itself, but NOT his version of it.

Yeah, I can't say I dislike too many Christmas songs, but like Starry said... sometimes it's the version I may not like...

However, I don't really care for Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer. Feliz Navidad was overplayed when I was younger, so I get tired of it REAL fast each Christmas Season. & the 12 Days of Christmas isn't a fave for some odd unknown reason.

Anything sung by a wailing, melisma-infatuated diva.
