For what its worth I was nominated for an oscar....but enough about me, a band that <I> really don't like is KISS. And besides the usual britney/nsync crap I cant stand Shania Twain. Well i guessits good i don't listen to them. Also i think the Eagles are overrated <ducks>

There are "artists" out there that make me scratch my head and wonder why they're so famous. To point them out in a public forum such as this seems to hurt people's feelings and make them retaliate on those with opinions. Which also baffles me. We have seen that already in this very thread! I have given up voicing my opinion--especially when it come to "artists" that are non-Beatles here at B-Links. If I were to list those recording "artists" that I don't like, I'd get much hate mail in my PM box. No thanks....

I don't like "Any Man of Mine" by Shania Twain. Those harsh violins are physically painful to hear and the song just plain annoys me.

"Smack My B**** Up" is sexist, degrading and atrocious. I don't think it has anything in creation to recommend it.

"The Name Game" is to me torture. I think it is the most asinine, heinous atrocity ever inflicted upon the hearing world and I have hated it from the get-go. I remember running out of a store as a very young child when I heard it. It does terrible things to me. I wouldn't wish "The Name Game" on anyone and it is for me the equivalent of a dental drill in the ears and ninjas assaulting the ears and the ears being run over by a fleet of trucks. I just plain abhor it.

I admit I don't care for Elton John too much either. He had one or two songs that were alright, but generally I find his voice is a little annoying.

His early albums were phenomenal, (go get Tumbleweed Connection) up till about Goodbye Yellowbrook Rd, which was a masterpiece, and he is one talented dude but hasn't written a real good song in a while.

Magill was saying to me last night that she never really heard of anyone who didn't like Elton John. Then she read the above posts and kinda giggled to herself. Elton did get a little sloppy with some of his releases, but Songs From The West Coast is a real return to form. I haven't heard it yet, but Peachtree Road is supposed to be another good 'un.

Me without the song "Be Kind to Your Parents" is like Robert Kennedy without a Mafia Godfather. I plain hate the song. "difficult stage of development" -- IKKK! When I say I hate the song, I am not playing. I mean, I really hate it. That goes for "Bushel & a Peck" -- IKKK!

I can't stand the 4 Tops.

The worst music is by Prussian Blue, the Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen of the White Aryan hate movement. And I think we can all agree on that.

I have to agree with you, Kat. It is SCARY that these children along with their baby sister are being taught to hate people, most of whom they don't even know!

I'd say "Revolution 9" but that's not music, it's just utter crap.

Ah, I thought "I Want Love" from Songs From The West Coast (2002) was a great one. But that's about it. Yes, his earliest album were the best.

Tejano music is a little hard for me to take.
It's "oompa" music bred with mariachi on acid.

Lots of folk round these parts play it rather LOUD, too!

Just about everything that's currently in the charts. I haven't been compelled to even even look at it let alone buy anything since Beatles 1 was in the album charts. It's all cRap and hip-hop.

There are very few recent songs that I like. Most of the time if I do find a song post 2000+ that I like, it's because I heard it in a movie or on a tv show.
