Rumors about Paul and his veggie lifestyle
I was viewing the Beatle Bible site posts and saw a topic regarding his veggie lifestyle. The poster stated he once read somewhere that Paul admitted that he occasionally he sins and has a hot dog. I recall George teasing him in a” Material World” clip about his vegetarian leather jacket. If that poster was correct, there’s nothing wrong that. He’s only human, and I guess the temptation is too much to bear. After all, England and America are traditionally meat and potatoes countries.
Personally, I like vegan and veggie fare, but I’ve got to have my BBQ, burgers, chicken etc. I also prefer fake fur, although I do find natural furs beautiful. During childhood I loved ivory statues as a kid, until I found out they have to kill elephants. I figured they just sedate the elephant and cut the tusks. However, I do support circuses and zoos since I love them so much, not to mention many zoo promote conservation efforts regarding endangered species. But I agree there needs to be more regulation in regards to protecting animal circus performers. Furthermore, I think some of those PETA activists are a bunch of fruitcakes! I believe when he converted to Hinduism, George also embraced the veggie lifestyle.

... except that he's often giving hell to people who do eat meat, notably to people working under him, pointing a moralising finger at other people who do, ect...

If you're a vegetarian, well and good. I'm 98% vegan. However, I disagree with sitting in moral judgment on carnivorous folks. If Paul's work policy is to declare eating any meat products on the job verboten, all right then, that's one thing. When employees are off the clock they should not have to fear losing their jobs if they eat meat after hours.
