Yeah, yeah, yeah!

Paul McCartney is a good influence and his music brightens up my day. Paul McCartney's music can make your day a Good Day Sunshine as well.

I'd love to hear Adele cover Oh! Darling... I'd bet you that would be un-friggin'-believably good!

I was just watching the Coming Up video. Think it's kinda cool that Paul played the guitar right-handed as his Buddy Holly incarnation:

Now this I remember watching in 1980. I think on SNL. Remember Father Guido Sarducci trying to interview him at dawn in London, right after Paul got home from Japan after his drug bust and jail time?

What a coincidence... I just posted this video in the Act Naturally forum.

Omg, I totally remember Father Guido Sarducci trying to interview Paul... hilarious! I can't find it on You Tube, I'm afraid. I can't recall what was going on with SNL in 1980. Wasn't Bill Murray still with them? When did Eddie Murphy start? Guess '80 must have been the lull between those two great eras, eh?

Btw, here's the transcript of Father Guido Sarducci's Weekend Update report... and here's the interview he finally did with Paul.

Thanks so much! Those were great!

79-80 was the last Bill Murray season, and it was in the Spring of '80 that Father Guido Sarducci tried to interview Paul. SNL got a whole new cast in the Fall of 1980 and was kind of lost until around 1984, when Eddie Murphy joined.

I find it hard to watch these days because I don't ever know who the hell the guest hosts are for the most part.

Some of my favorite SNL moments are the two interviews with Paul, though: The interview with Father Guido, and the interview with Chris Farley....

"Coming Up" is one of my favorite videos and songs. When I saw Paul in 2009, he did that song during his warm up, but not during his concert.

Just lovely, 2V! Thank you for posting this.

This is one of my favorite songs under the sun.

I also like the Ram's Head touch.

Woke up during the night to hear Medicine Jar and Magneto and Titanium Man on the radio. Paul you're the bomb!!

I have this, but it's great to randomly hear it on the radio. WDRV in Chicago (or on the 'Net) is featuring Beatles Solo Work on their Thursday Featured Artist(s) today.

ETA: Doofus! Paul McCartney wasn't the singer (or writer) on Medicine Jar - Thanks LAURA A., LOL. Probably everyone on this thread knew that already and yeah, I was thinking hmmm the voice seems different, but STILL it's a cool-ass song. TIP: this is what happens with ill-gotten CDs sans liner notes.

Saw Sir Paulie in Milwaukee last week and he is still killer. It was my 6th Paul show since '89 and didn't know what to expect, but shame on me, he was no less interactive and energetic as he was in the past. When my grandpa was 71, he would touch up the house and fix things, maybe go to Vegas with Grandma twice a year. Paul is 71, did 38 songs in blazing heat and humidity (without taking a drink) and kicked ass with his flawless band. God bless him!
