Default New Tour Date- San Francisco

Paul McCartney - July 10, 2010
Paul McCartney has announced a performance date at San Francisco's very own AT&T Park on Saturday, July 10th for his 'Up and Coming' 2010 tour. Keeping with his headline-making special concerts over the last few years, the tour will see the iconic star and his band play unique venues, places and locations; new cities he's never played and familiar markets he's not visited for a while.

The Saturday July 10th concert date at AT&T Park will be McCartney's first performance within the City of San Francisco since The Beatles' last concert tour appearance - at Candlestick Park on August 29, 1966.

Tickets go on sale Monday, May 24 at 10am.

Default Paul McCartney in San Francisco

Back in 1976, Wings was schedule to play in San Francisco on a Sunday. I had tickets for it but it was cancelled because as I remember Jimmy McCulloch broke his finger. It was my only day off because I was a professional musician and back then and all the clubs were 6 days a week (five shows a night). I was in Atlanta working at the beautiful Atlanta Hilton in a show group called Rubicon. Wings played there when I was their but I had to work but I did call over to the Peach Tree Plaza Hotel and talked to Denny Laine for a second. He was sleeping. I think Jo Jo answerd the phone. It was like 2am.! Crazy but fun times.

He's certainly getting around on this tour! I really didn't think there would be any other dates added. I wonder where else he might play??! Exciting.

Good luck to those trying for these latest ones.

All right, people, I need your collective wisdom. Is it worth getting an American Express card so I can get in on the presale? (It sounds as if that's my only chance, and even then, no guarantee.) Do I need to go to the house of a friend with a faster Internet connection? Help me, help meeeee!

From my experience, you have a greater chance at better seats with American Express.

Thanks to all who have posted concert info and set lists.

Paul McCartney is a nonpareil artist.

well... san francisco is really cool like that... i didn't have a blooming "backstage pass" hanging round yer neck... in fact i was outside the venue the whole time... which is kinda' a tear jerker and kinda' not.

So, you listened to the warm-up from outside the venue, is that what your saying frog? I did that at the last concert of Paul's I attended, love it, BB1964 got inside to see the warm-up in Houston, it was sooo hot out, they were kind enough to let her in... we will have to get BB1964 to tell us about that again...

well then you know what i am talking about. the words just flowed, just like the songs. hearing him play all those songs on ukulele really was unreal. as far as the backstage thingie goes, i was real close to the stage.
