Default Fan Fiction Panels and Poetry Reading At Beatlefest

Just a quick announcement regarding the times for the Fan Fiction Panel Discussions and Poetry Reading Coffeehouse at the Chicago Fest for Beatles Fans -- I found them out today from Mark. The panelists this year are myself, James Ryan, Tina Kukla and Sharon Richards.

The times are as follows:

Friday night:
6:30 - Meet The Authors in the Ballroom
9:40-10:20 - Fan Fiction Panel Discussion in the Forum

Saturday night:
9:15-10:15 - Fan Fiction and Poetry Panel Discussion in the Forum

Sunday night:
8:30 - Poetry Coffeehouse in the Forum

Hope to see you there! And be sure to stop by the London Room on the lower level to see us and purchase your copies of our books!

Sigh... be nice if Mark gave you decent hours some year. Anyway, I hope all goes well with the FF panel; I wish I could be there! I'm sure there will be lots of interesting discussion!

Eesh, thank goodness I decided to buy tickets for Friday night at the last minute! At least the coffeehouse is scheduled for Sunday, so it's not like that last day is totally devoid of our participation.

See everyone there!

The poetry coffeehouse was a really nice low-key way to end the weekend last year, and I'm looking forward to it again this year. You can only sit through the entire Battle of the Bands so many times in your life before getting bored with it....

One week to go!

Looking with MUCH anticipation and excitement for ALL the activities we participate in. But more than the fest itself, it's all of YOU that I've met over the past few years that's the BEST reason of all to be at the festival! Our annual hooking up and otherwise co-mingling EVENT! For those who won't be in Chicago we'll miss you but know you are there in spirit and in our celebrating thoughts. Cheers!

Yup, I had a great time too at the poetry reading. I'm SO glad more people besides the usual fan fic/writing crowd chose to participate! And we had people of all different ages there... It was wonderful!

Hats off to the Panel and the poetry readings. Dr. Dreamer's son brought such a big smile to my face throughout the fest and he was an added treat to the Poetry Reading. Another young man whom I had met last year at the Poetry reading (he's now 13) spoke up, asked good, thought provoking questions and also made the Poetry Reading all the more fun this year.

Way to go, Panel and Readers!
