Ringo's LP "Ringo" is a great work by anyones standards. My favorite Ringo solo song is on this album, "Six O'Clock". It was written by Paul and Linda, and they supplied the backing vocals for it.
"Im The Greatest", the first track, written by John, summarizes what the Beatles accomplished over the years. Ringo singing; "...Yes, my name is Billy Shears, you know it has been for so many years..." always brings a smile to my face.
"Photograph", written by Ringo and George, was the most successful track from this album. It brings back a lot of memories.

it most definitely would not have sounded the same. It would have had the Beatle touch and been a different song. Maybe not better or worse, but Beatlesque.

I think songs like What ever get's you through the night, Live and Let die, The No No song and I got my mind set on you would have made really good Beatle songs

Live And Let Die would have been an interesting production Beatlewise. Not as slick, but very original sounding.

"I Got My Mind Set On You" does have a little touch of Beatlesque. It probably would have been another #1 for the group.

I think it is the closest you can get, "I Got My Mind Set on You" had the combo of George and Ringo, it's the closest they got to getting back together, well unless you want to count "Real Love" and "Free as a Bird"

Perhaps How Do You Sleep may have been a nice one? Bass or piano by Paul?

But How Do You Sleep was about Paul. He might not have appreciated it.
I think George played on that so you have half the Beatles. George probably enjoyed it at the time.

Imagine, as great as it is as a Lennon song, could have been a great Beatle song as well. A George lead (like Let It Be ), Paul harmonies in the chorus/refrain ("Imagine all the people....". I think Ringo might be playing on it already.

I think you have a point who ever is playing drums on it sure does sound like Ringo. It's kind of funny how much each of them worked together even after the split.

The closest things to have any idea on how it would have sounded like indeed are Free as a bird and Real Love.

Yet, a big influence here is the p.roducer.

I agree that Oh Yoko is great. I especially love the piano in it (I studied piano growing up).

How about I Found Out?

That's a good song too, very rough and throaty.
Tickle my goatie. . . .not that I have one - I don't believe in it. Although, I milked a goat once. It never walked again. Neither did I. Jeez, the summer of 86', I was 5, the weather was beautiful, and I fell in love with a goat. Oh how my heart yearns for her sweet, sweet lovin'. And her precious milk.
Where were we?
Oh...I'd love to learn how to play the piano. I can play the guitar, but I'd like to woo people with my piano renditions of Jealous Guy and Imagine, and Hey Jude, etc.

Do you think that the song "When We Was Fab" is about The Beatles?
