Default Beatle Pictures you Never Knew Existed

I was curious what Beatle pictures surprised you the most when you learned of their existence? It wasn't until about two years ago that I first saw the only picture of John Lennon and Paul McCartney taken after the break-up (it was in a recent book called something like The Beatles 1970-2000: A Diary), and it was earlier this year that I found out that contrary to most claims, there was a photo taken of Elvis and John Lennon outside Elvis' home following the 1965 meeting. Others?

I could say there are thousand of pictures that I've never seen.

But I'm looking for one. I saw it the last month in a magazine and it's from Anthology records sessions.

In the picture you can see to George, Ringo and Paul but beside George there is the John's silhouette like if he were there too.

The only thing I know is that the picture was taken by Linda McCartney.

I agree with the Elvis pictures, I never knew about those. There are also a few with the other Beatles driving off in a car from meeting Elvis. You can see them in this book called "Beatles '65." Not the greatest pics you'll ever see, but important for their historic value. I read an article from the guy who found them. He said he was buying photos of Elvis from some guy who had boxes of photos and these were just piled in with all the others. Really neat story.

I read a while back that the meeting was actually filmed, and is included in the new Elvis boxset. I'll find the article and post it here.

From the Beatles Book Monthly, Sept 2002:

“The New Elvis Presley 8-DVD set ‘Definitive Elvis’, released on 13th August, reportedly features footage of the famous Elvis/Beatles jam session from 1965, although we have yet to see a copy.”

It took some searching, but I did find one similar to what you're looking for. How's this:

Oh, thats a great picture! Makes me sad...John still looks a bit younger than the rest of them, but its the thought that counts.

I would have to say that the picture that surprised me the most wasn't actually of the Beatles, just Paul during the Wings era (at his finest, LOL...love the clothes).

Well, this picture...Linda has the mullet thing goin on and Paul..YIKES! He has the most HORRID go-tee (sp?) and its sort of longish on the end, and has itty bitty sideburns all the way down his face and a Sgt. Pepper moustache.

Oh, god. Yuck. He reminded me of a young Marharishi without so much beard mixed with a backstreet-boy.

But theres also a very cute one I have of Paul in the pool (minus the scary go-tee thing) with baby Mary and hes giving her a kiss...its so cute!

*sighs dreamily* oh, all those picture that have yet to be found are calling my name...hehehe...

I don't know how to scan photos yet so the best I can do is tell you the exact name of the book where I found the Lennon/McCartney Lost Weekend photo. It's in Keith Badman's The Beatles: 1970-2000 After the Breakup:A Day by Day Diary. Lennon is sitting on a couch with two or three others, one of whom happens to be Paul McCartney. It's in black and white and looks like any photo you'd find in a family photo album from 1974, except of course it's supposedly the only picture of John with Paul taken after the breakup.

I can't remember where I saw the Elvis/John Lennon picture and worse yet, I don't even know if it was in a Beatle book or Elvis magazine. Again, it's not a great photo, but you can clearly see Elvis at his door on the left side of the picture and John walking away on the right.

I can't imagine that such a film exists, but thanks SingingOm for the Elvis/Beatles footage info.
