I liked Tug of War, not heard it in years. Always thought Pipes of Peace was a bit of a dud.

The single edit of "Take it away" now available for download on Paul's site.
http://www.paulmccartney.com/downloads
A nice sounding 270 kbps mp3 version.

Pipes of Peace has it's moments, but I prefer Tug of War.

Wha? Back to the Egg is being stepped over? Bloody Hell!!! That is a fantastic album. Far superior to these two dust collectors.

I'm in your camp on this Zim. Tug of War was excellent. Listening to Paul and Carl Perkins on 'Get It' is some great listening. Wanderlust...Ballroom Dancing. Good stuff.
I remember the video of Pipes of Peace depicting a battle during WWI. It didn't get listened to near as much as Tug of War did by my ears.

I find all 3 LPs dust collectors! 1978 is when Wings stopped producing great music including the London Town LP.

Agreed on London Town. But BTTE is right up there w any of Wings best albums, IMO. It got eviscerated by critics because that was the anti Beatles sentiment of the punk age. The boots of that abbreviated tour are phenominal. And the Rockestra Theme on headphones? Fugeddaboutit.

What's ''Christian Bop'' doing on ''Pipes'' ?
I've always read that it dated from 1987 (Ramone sessions)...
... was that wrong, or is this an earlier version of it ?
Also, anyone know when ''It's not on'' is from ?

Hi--first post. Glad to enter the conversations.
Amazon is listing both the regular US release of the Pipes package and a UK import of the same.
Are there any differences in the releases?

That is good news. Back to the Egg is an excellent collection as well. Paul said to his daughter Mary in a 2001 interview that it was his favorite album/CD.
