The YOKO LOVE thread
Because, as John fans, some of us have put up with decades worth of mud flung on this lady. Some of us don't care for her, others just tolerate her, but I know we are all intelligent enough to know that spreading HATE and negativity towards a person who made John happy isn't the coolest way to go about. I'm making this thread to show Yoko some love. She is almost 80 and she and John were the loves of each other's lives. I, for one, have grown in my appreciation of her over the years. AND to top it off, she's playing New Year's Eve (w/Sean too!) with one of my FAV bands, The Flaming Lips! Just adds to the factor for all involved. (and NO I'm not going to be lucky enough to go )
Anyway, I'm going to let you all start this. Bring up something you love or like about her, address it. Or post a picture. Or a video. Or ANYTHING. This is ONLY a positive thread. We need to keep the love flowing as the Modern Generation can be lurking in. Examples lead the way.

I LOVE this thread!!!
I adore Yoko in these two GIFS because they show how tender and loving she was to John and the love in her eyes for him.

Great idea for a thread, 4iiiis!!
Yoko is cool in so many ways... but the first thing that I love her for is that she opened John's eyes to feminism. She made him understand... really understand... the struggle for true equality.

I read that Snoopy. Baby steps are good.
Yoko is forever a lady after my heart. She is steadfast, unwavering, confident, and amazing. She inspired John and gave him the love he needed and wanted. She stood by his side as he became the voice for so many incredible ideals, causes, and artistic liberation. And she remains fierce, beautiful, strong, and forever devoted to her John and what they had together. A class act. My favorite Beatle wife, bar none.

Yeah I know. I'd probably fall asleep within minutes of conversing with that dull woman.

Yoko told me in 2004 that "negative thinking gets you nowhere". The way she said it really clicked with me. And it helped so much in changing my life for the better.

Hey you two! Play nice. This is a positive Yoko thread. Unless Cynthia had something nice to say about Yoko, we can leave her off to her own "Cynthia Lennon Love" thread.
I love the entire Approximately Infinite Universe album and I consider it, in many ways, a John and Yoko album.

Yoko was 23-Across in the Christmas Day New York Times crossword. The clue was "Noted bride of 1969"... pretty cool!

OMG wallrus! I saw those and I...were they pap pics, lol? I ask but then I remember this is John and Yoko we're talking about.
I absolutely loved when she said she went in with a stop watch to make sure, on the Beatles Anthology, that John had JUST AS MUCH air/speak time as the other three.
Don't mess with mama's man!

Um, there's these pics from, maybe, early 1980 (?) of John, Yoko, and Sean all completely naked holding hands in the yard of (I think) their vacation home. Actually, I don't really know the year or any details but it is...well, it's certainly a sight! Wallrus can probably post it!
