Default Beatles Early Nicknames?

Hi Gang,
I was asked a trivia question recently. What were The Beatles nicknames in the early sixties after first arriving in the U.S.? I think John was named "The Witty one", George-"The Quiet one", Paul-"The Cute one", Ringo-"The Funny one". I'm not sure if i'm right. If anyone knows, please let me know. Best, Vin

I think John was the Smart one, the rest I believe it's correct.

Yeah, one of my old magazines uses those nicknames. They call John the Smart Beatle though. There's really not that much difference if you use Witty anyway

Sometimes Ringo was called "The Sad One". Never liked that though. "The Funny One" is much better and well suited.

Later on I got confused with that (maybe cuz I'm biased to John) but I thought John was funnier than Ringo was. In concert footage and movies and stuff I laughed more at what John did. Nothing against Ringo! They were all funny people. But I'm just saying I used to be confused by that.

Paul - The Cute Beatle
George - The Shy Beatle
Ringo - The Sad Beatle

My teenage daughter asked me the difference between cute and sexy. I told her, "Paul and John."
