Without a doubt, Abbey Road, The Beatles [White Album], and Revolver.
I don't count Magical Mystery Tour as a real Beatles album.

I think Revolver only has like 3 or 4 good songs.

I'll agree with the first two
1) The Beatles (aka White Album). This is my all time number one album.Listening to this one is like a religous experience. Every human emotion is explored lyrically and musically. It will never be surpassed by anyone. I think it is one of the greatest works in the history of western civilization. This album is impossible to deconstruct and will always remain an enigma. A timeless work of art.
2) Abbey Road - Listen to this album from begining to ends. There is not a single wasted note. This album is the definition of professional music making but it never loses its human touch.
3) Revolver - A wildy adventerous album. The Beatles are all over the map on this one. Almost as ambitous as the White Album but produced and arranged within a more standard pop context.

I'm just curious..... why is Magical Mystery Tour NOT considered a Beatles album? I was going to pick this as one of my top 3, because a lot of my favorite songs are on it (I am the Walrus especially, and Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields Forever, Baby You're a Rich Man, All You Need is Love, The Fool on the Hill, and the others as well)
If this isn't considered a real Beatles album - I guess I"ll have to come up with something else to complete my three.....

Maybe it's because when it was released in the UK, back in 1967, only had the first 6 songs. The other ones were included in the american edition, and were just A e B sides of singles, not written with the intention of being included in a "normal" album.

That's right, it was only meant by The Beatles to be a double EP. They never wanted it to be an album. They had too many songs for a regular EP, but not enough for an album, so they made a double EP. This is an original American release, like Meet the Beatles! or Beatles '65. The first side consists of the songs on the double EP, and the second side consists of the singles released in 1967. The album was released in the UK in 1976 because the demand was so high for it, but The Beatles did not want it to become an album when they were together, so I choose to count it as a double EP. Oddly enough, this did turn out to be John Lennon's favorite Beatles "album" later on.

Those are my three favorites, too, in that same order. IMO, Rubber Soul is the best album ever. No matter how many billions of times I've listened to it, it just seems to get better each time. I've been listening to it a lot this week. Love it, love it, love it!

I think I'm the only person here who would rate "Abbey Road" as my least favorite album.I don't know why I just don't listen to it that much.
