Default "Memory Almost Full" new Paul's album

http://www.therockradio.com/2007/04/...ry-almost.html

Paul McCartney's new album, titled Memory Almost Full, will be released on June 5th. The album, which is being produced by David Kahne, who helmed McCartney's 2001 Driving Rain set, follows the framework of most of McCartney's work over the past 25 years, including full band tracks mixed with songs featuring McCartney on all instruments.

Memory Almost Full features a "15-minute Abbey Road-style musical suite," and will be Macca's first for the Starbucks/Concord Music Group's offshoot label Hear Music.

The new set is McCartney's 21st mainstream solo studio album, and his followup to 2005's Grammy-nominated Chaos And Creation In The Backyard.

McCartney's Memory Almost Full is available for pre-order through aol.music.com.

The collection, Macca's first album away from longtime record label EMI, will coincidentally be released on the eve of the 45th anniversary of Beatles' audition for the record label. The album also marks the first time in 23 years that he's released a studio set within two years of its predecessor.

June 1st marks the 40th anniversary of the release of the Beatles' landmark album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.

Paul McCartney will turn 65 on June 18th.

I can't wait to hear this one.

Even Paul can't dodge that Beatle influence! You hear it in many of his songs and it was prevalent on his "Chaos & Creation" collection. I just love it!

Even a former Beatle is influenced by the musical bar the Beatles have raised!

This morning a local station, 97Rock played a 20 second preview of one of the songs from the album, 'Ever Present Past'. It was a slow song, definately not a rocker. I assume that we will be getting these previews until the album is released.

Pity there's no trace of Ringo on it though...

NO, a Paul album doesn't NEED to have Ringo on it, and vice-versa... but it's still nice when it does happen, not only for "historical" reasons, but because each is very good at what he does, playing-wise, and they combine very well when they do play together.

And, slowly but surely, it's now been 10 years since Ringo played on a Paul track, and 9 since Paul played on a Ringo song... how time flies...

Ditto for Sir George Martin... yes, I know, he's supposed to be retired, but that didn't stop him from working on "Love"

Just picked up these two bits of info on the Abbeyroad news page...

Paul McCartney
Memory Almost Full
Street Date - June 5th, 2007
Two Versions available - Deluxe/Limited Edition featuring second CD with 3 bonus tracks and an audio commentary by Paul

... and...

Monday, April 16, 2007
Paul McCartney album title rumoured to be secret message to Linda
Paul McCartney's new album title, Memory Almost Full, is rumored to be a coded reference to his late wife Linda McCartney. Britain's Sunday Mirror and other outlets have reported that the album's title is an anagram of "For My Soulmate LLM (Linda Louise McCartney)." An anagram is a word or phrase made by transposing the letters of another word or phrase.

A source close to Macca said that, "It is a title Paul has had on his mind for a long time -- even before Linda died. He'd never have used it if things were going well with (estranged wife) Heather (Mills). But this record is very much the break-up album. It's an homage to the woman who remains the true love of his life -- and his soulmate."

Paul and Linda McCartney were married for 29 years and had four children together. Linda McCartney died of cancer on April 17th, 1998.

This pic was posted on http://www.maccareport.com/, I didn´t make it.
Just thought I could share it, if it should turn out to be real. They usually don´t make things up but quote other sources. Don´t know. Sorry if it offended anyone.

Hm neither did "Driving Rain" but the music was quite good...
(And sorry for my tone today, uhm, I´ve just been thrown out of my Alan Rickman Community and I feel offended by anything now. Not your mistake.)

I hope it´s not the real cover, I could start to like it if I had to, but as long as it´s not confirmed, I decide to find it merely cute. In a bad way.

I've seen worse, but it's a little odd. I wonder if there's a story behind it.
