Favorite Coffee?

What coffee shop's coffee do you prefer?

I have friends who think Starbucks is the best... others claim The Coffee Bean is better. Then, there are others who prefer some of their local non-chain coffee shops or coffee that comes from a donut shop like Dunkin Donuts.

I haven't been drinking it myself for very long. But so far, from what coffee I have had, my vote goes to The Coffee Bean.

Anyone care to weigh-in on this all-important topic?

The diner in our neighborhood makes a great cup of coffee, but as far a chains go, then Dunkin' Donuts gets my vote. Not bitter, just nice and smooth.

Dunkin' donuts gets a big thumbs down from me. Highly overrated, IMO. I drink my coffee black so maybe that why I don't like it? I'd rather get my coffee from Burger King. I recently bought The Coffee Bean's Holiday blend and it's okay. I usually prefer going to The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf over Starbucks when I'm out and about. At home I prefer darker more robust roasts, less acidic. My coffee of the moment is Starbucks Pike's Place blend. Peet's (from Berkeley) makes good coffee, as well. Newman's Own is very good, too. Oooh and World Market puts out some killer coffee too. You might wanna check them out. Their prices are reasonable too. I'm a card carrying member there . (They have a coffee club ) If I sound like a coffee snob it's because I am. haha! Been drinking it since I was 15 years old.

We get the one shipped from Colombia, it's delicious.

I'll drink whatever's available, but I like it best REALLY strong and dark and then with lots of milk, so I love espresso drinks and stuff. Magill, I'll have to check out World Market - I'm always in there for wine, but haven't looked at the coffee selection!

I hate Starbucks coffee - It tastes burnt and bitter! I prefer Dunkin Donuts to theirs - though I do enjoy Starbuck's latte's once in a while - anything to soften the flavor.
There's a really nice coffee chain here in New York called Manon's. The coffee is very smooth and delicious.

Definitely do, Rell. Love, love LOVE their Kona coffee. It's soooo smooth and yummy!

Hey Magill, I drink my coffee black, too, but for some reason I just really like the taste of Dunkin' Donuts'. McDonald's coffee isn't all that bad, either. Never tried BK's. I'll have to check out World Market and Newman's.

At home, Maxwell drip coffee. None of that instant crap for me. On the go, it's gotta be a Timmies, otherwise known as Tim Hortons coffee.

I realize a lot of people like Dunkin's coffee and swear it's the best around. I have had their turbo coffee and have enjoyed that. But really, it's just espresso. And it's reflected in the price. Mc Donald's is okay in a pinch and I know some people that swear *that* is the best around. Really, it's a matter of preference and what suits your own individual taste. One of these days I'm gonna pick up a percolator. Perked coffee is delish. But, there's two things wrong with that for me. 1) I've never used a percolator before and 2) I keep finding myself living in place that have really poorly operating electric stoves. Give me gas any ol' day. Umm...you know what I mean.

You guys, while you're at World Market check out their mugs. I've picked up a few novelty ones there. I love my Albert Einstein "Coffee makes me smart" mug. My Gawd! I could spend serious coin in that store, given the chance .

Folgers Classic blend bean, Dunkin donuts bean, Maxwell House Master Blend,White Castle coffee, I think Starbucks is overrated, too strong and way too expensive! I like to grind my own..... I have in the past year become a coffee drinker, I do use vanilla flavored creamer, I know, coffee purist are cringing right now

I have a friend who swears by Dunkin Donuts' coffee and had been mail-ordering it for years until it became available to buy in stores around here (L.A.). It's an east coast thing - still can't buy their donuts here.... not yet, at least! In time, I suppose.

I am in no way a coffee aficionado like Magill is. I'm still trying them all out. There's a crazy-big coffee section in a new market that opened up out here called "Henry's"... tons of different coffees to choose from! I plan to try some of those in time. I might become an addict yet!

One of my coffee issues is that I only drink decaf other than on the weekends. I was addicted to caffiene for a couple of years and decided to kick it, so I don't drink regular most days anymore.

I drink only regular coffee. I don't think the caffeine effects me much at all... however, the night I had a particularly strong cup at a restaurant, I had me some really bizarre and vivid dreams!

When I'm out and about, I like an Irish Creme latte'. If they don't have Irish Creme, I'll settle for Hazelnut.

At home, I have this wonderful concoction I do with Maxwell House Instant Coffee, some Folger's "Mocha Fusion" cappuccino mix, and some Hazelnut Coffee Mate. Heat a mug of water in the microwave, mix it up, and buzz on, baby...

In Columbia, TN, there's a lovely little coffee shop I frequent called Buckhead, and they do something called the B52 which is an Irish Creme mocha, their own recipe. Love it...

Tim Hortons gets my vote -- just a simple cup of joe, and I normally get a double-double (with milk, not cream). Not too strong, not burned, nice and comforting. If I'm drinking at home, I buy Starbucks beans and grind them myself and I don't make it so strong so it helps -- I find Starbucks coffee in-store to be too strong. But Timmy's takes the cake for most Canucks I talk to!
