Don't know why that link didn't work. Anyway here's a much higher quality version... http://rapidshare.com/files/27097723...t_320kbps.mpeg
And the video's behind the scenes stuff from he making of Dance Tonight.. possibly the first video or something.

I've listened to it a few times. It's a really good uplifting tune. A masterpiece is a big word, but it doesn't have to be.
Thanks for sharing subhajit_2k !
I'll move this to the Paul forum since it's an official release. Ofcourse the mp3 file isn't, but when I am able to find the single I'll most likely buy it. I'll asume most fans do, but it's hard to check who just downloads the file and doesn't buy the single and who does.

Thanks for the link.
It's rather catchy, isn't it. I like the title, too. I'll need to let it grow on me a bit more, but I think I'm going to like it just fine!

The lyrics
"Ever Present Past" (© 2007 Paul McCartney)
I've got too much on my plate
Don't have no time to be a decent lover
I hope it isn't too late
Searching for the time that has gone so fast
The time that I thought would last
My ever present past
I've got too much on my mind
I think of everything to be discovered
I hope there's something to find
Searching for the time that has gone so fast
The time that I thought would last
My ever present past
The things I think I did
I do, I think I did
The things I think I did
When I was a kid
I couldn't understand a word that they were saying
But still I hung around and took it all in
I wouldn't join in with the games that they were playing
It went by, it went by, in a flash
It flew by, it flew by, in a flash
Guitar solo
There's far too much on my plate
Don't have no time to be a decent lover
I hope it's never too late
Searching for the time that has gone so fast
The time that I thought would last
My ever present past
The things I think I did
I do, I think I did
The things I think I did
When I was a kid
The things I think I did
I do, I think I did
The things I think I did
When I was a kid, when I was a kid...

Ok. So far, I like it more than Fine Line. I like the tune, the lyrics, the vocals and the tempo change. I need to listen it a bit more to make a clearer opinion. But I'm happy to hear him again so new and refreshed

But it's catchy and radio friendly. I don't know it does have something about it that could caught a larger audience, only with the right promo. And a place to buy it. Is it out yet, is it released everywhere?

Went around looking for it yesterday and couldn't find it.
Was last Friday the release date for the UK?
Edit:
And I truly think this could become a hit!
