Re: Original Fan\'s Collectibles
The figures (dolls) are cool. Are they bobbing heads?

Re: Original Fan\'s Collectibles
Nice collection there, OFan. How much do you want for the book?

Re: Original Fan\'s Collectibles
The dolls are made of rubber & the heads don't bob, but they can be moved from side to side. As for the book version of AHDN, someone on this site said he/she recently saw a copy for sale priced at $50! Mine is not for sale, however. The photo's not the greatest, but there's also a ring somewhere among those items which is not visible. I've lots of other items which I can photograph if you're interested, but I don't plan on parting with a thing. Who would?

Re: Original Fan\'s Collectibles
DrWinstonO'Boogie/VanEdge, if you're an only child, I'm sure OFan will pass them on to you. As for me, three daughters will probably end up fighting over who gets what. I might have to come up with some kind of will detailing how my collection is to be divided.

Re: Original Fan\'s Collectibles
to tell you the truth, i want nothing to do with these items if OF is not there to share the stories behind them. sure, they are worth $$, but if they ever become "mine," i could never part with them, as they are synonymous with OF in my mind.
it's also very interesting to have a link to your parents' childhood. these items are cool for many reasons, not the least of which is the fact that they are a direct physical link to a very important part of the history of pop culture, and also serve to illustrate some of OF's already vivid memories.
by the way, i have a brother, and i'm sure he feels the same way. neither one of us is in any rush to own this collection, nor would ever part with any part of it. it'd be like throwing away priceless family jewelry!
also - i have re-registered and dropped the VanEdge from my username. i thought it looked a wee bit schizophrenic and you guys know i'm easily found at www.vhforums.com by now.
