Default Beatles Anthology Directors cut - I'm a bit confused

I've just bought the Beatles Anthology Director's Cut 93. This is the proper factory pressed box set issued on the Picture Perfect label complete with original box, colour liner notes etc. It was very expensive, but no man is an island. What slightly confuses me are the disc labels. It says "Promotional use only - not for sale" Does this mean that a proper retail version of this set is going to be widely available to everyone in the shops at some time? If not, what is it actually promoting?
I've also bought the 5 disc digipack version for half the price. Interestingly when you rip this version on your computer the ISO image has the Label "DVD Shrink". This would indicate that whoever released this version(which is also factory pressed)joined two discs from the Picture Perfect release together and used DVD Shrink to fit them on one disc.

I've heard of this set but never seen it. I would be very surprised if it was given an official release though. The Beatles probably edited much of the original release and the stuff on here is probably stuff they never wanted put out.

I've got the 5 dvd version. The quailty is excelent so I don't mind if it's been shrunk to fit. And it's much cheaper anyway. Having first bought the official 8 video Anthology set, then the 5 dvd set I wasn't even planning on getting any version and certainly wouldn't want to pay a lot for another Anthology set.

I am glad I bought the set however, there are lots of extra bits and pieces which are great to have.

Promotional Use Only-Not for Sale means just that. It's used by certain businesses to promote something and is not meant to be sold in stores.

I know that. My original question was what it was actually promoting as this version is not going to be officially released.
