Default Christmas Songs to Beatle tunes?

Call me crazy, but I swear I've been hearing Christmas songs on the radio (oldies station) to Beatle tunes. I KNOW I heard Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer to "I Saw Her Standing There" and I'm pretty sure I heard another one to "Got to Get You Into My Life".

Now. Has anyone else heard these songs or am I just combining my favorite holiday with my favorite band? If these songs DO exsist, is there any place I could get them?

Well... I heard white Christmas done with the ticket to ride bass lines in the back (or at least I think it was the bass lines.... either that or it was the rythm.... I am not to good with the technical stuff)

Also I heard a parody of all you need is love.... All you need are Elves.... it was kinda cute.

I've heard some songs sound like Beatles songs, but I'm sure it's just my mind that makes it seem so.

LOL oh yeah I saw this at Wal-Mart, really cute thing...

There's a song on it called "All You Need Is Friends" Haha. I haven't seen any other sorta "Beatlish" songs on it, but I never really looked at the track list and I've never heard it.

Thumbs up

I wonder if you're thinking of a wonderful Beatles tribute band based in Southern California called The Fab Four? They did two Christmas albums a couple years back now and the way they combined traditional Christmas tunes with Beatles classics is SO excellent. I own both albums and they have become something of a tradition for me.

i think the fab four covers are the most common versions you're hearing. not bad how they synchronize the two songs together. another one maybe, is xmas! beatmas by rubber band. everyone always confuses them with the actual beatles.

Thanks for the information guys!

I'm going to look into it because I've actually liked these fun versions of Beatle songs. I rather listen to that than the same songs on the radio over and over again.

You're not crazy, the Fab Four have two CDs of Christmas music done as 'Beatles' songs. They're great, really cute!

Here's the Amazon link:

I'm glad to know I'm not crazy, either!! My local oldies stations are playing these songs, too. I've heard them set to the tune of "Revolution 1" and "When I'm Sixty-Four" and my brother has heard a few, too.

I heard two of the Fab Four's songs last night on the radio, and I really enjoyed them! Very cute idea. Whoever did Lennon's voice actually did a really good job... I'm tempted to buy the CD now for NEXT Christmas.

You can hear 30 second snippets of all the songs by 'The Fab Four' at allmusic.com. It's as close to the Beatles singing Christmas classics as we ever will get! I plan on purchasing 'Christmas With The Fab Four - The Ultimate Tribute'.

I've heard this thing on the radio on Christmas that was a bunch of Christmad songs, slowed down and put togther with the backround music of "Sun King". It was quite pretty actually.

Tonight on the Oldies Station I heard "Good King Wenceslaus" (sp) and it was the exact same arrangement and melody as "Tell Me What You See."

In 1964 the Ventures' version of "Frosty" has the "I Feel Fine" intro. Just LOVE that Ford Falcon era music with those cool electric guitars!
