Default 80\'s music bonfire, whats going on then?

Right, just three choices i'm afraid.

1) Prince
2) Soft Cell
3) The Smiths

My listening appetite in music during the 80s were not mainstream at all: Texas swing, Chet Atkins and Merle Travis were about it.

Never heard anything by Soft Cell or the Smiths, so burning those is no problem.

Prince is a mental case , but every great now and then he does something I like. I read somewhere that Paul and Linda were fans of him.

Ummm...isn't Soft cell the bandthat sang "Tainted Love"?

IT'll have to be Prince he had a few good songs but I never understood the big hoopla surrounding him.

Soft Cell did do Tainted Love.

The Smiths are a British band, anyone who may not have heard of them may have heard of their lead singer Morrissey who went solo, but I don't think he is well known in the US.

I don't like any of them to be honest, they are all pretty awful!

I'm sure my friend Nancy would want "Fascination" by Human League to be burning in that fire somewhere.

Right, Magill??

<font size="2" face="Tahoma, Arial, sans-serif">Right you are, my friend! I'll be leading the ritual. Doing the ritual dance in the sun Along with Danoota's Spandau Ballet . Gawd that song, "True" is just horrible! And they'd play it all the friggin' time on the radio! *
Hell, the 80's was just the epitome of bad taste all 'round. Even though it was a FUN time for me, personally.

You can also throw in "The Safety Dance" by Men Without Hats.

More like, "Band Without Talent"!! One of the worst songs of that or ANY decade, featuring one of the WORST lead "singers" of all time!!
