PAUL IS NOT DEAD! THE EVIDENCE!
Ahhh the famous Abbey Road cover.... Yes Paul would have been 28 and he was barefoot, oh and the car looked like it ran him over, BUT...... The cigarette in the right hand? Well he's done it before....

OMG
Yeah I noticed this at a resturant the other day. They had this picture on the wall... Maybe he was ambidextrous?
Sorry if this has been posted before..

Maybe it's just a coincidence... photographer shoving the cig in Paul's free hand saying, "Here!"

That gave me a good laugh. I can just see it. lol. Anyway, I never noticed that he was smoking in that picture. I've seen plenty of pictures of Pauly with a ciggie in his right hand. The "Paul Is Dead" bit makes me laugh. Though, once upon a time, a long time ago, it frightened me. "Oh my god...Paul is what...?" Yeah, but I quickly got over it.

The cigarette has been airbrushed out of the picture in recent years, that may be why people never noticed it before.

Surely its in the right hand on the Abbey Road sleeve.
Anyone who smokes knows very well you can smoke with the cigarette in either hand and the left hand is actually more common

Like Paul, I also have things which I sometimes have in my right hand and sometimes in my left hand...and sometimes in both.. and three decades ago when I smoked tabacco I am sure it happened with cigarettes as well....

I remember the first time I heard of the rumour... I hadn't been a Beatles fan for too long and didn't really know a lot about them. I got online one day, and one of the news headlines on my homepage was "PAUL IS DEAD" with a picture of Macca. I almost had a heart attack! Heh. That really scared me...

Anyway Paul would have only been 27 next birthday not 28, so you can discount that one too.

Well, except that the Beatles were into the old Indian thing at the time. And Indian beliefs say that the first 9 months of gestation in the womb should be counted as part of your life.
The Beatles made no secret of their Indian beliefs.
And as such, this would have indeed made him 28.
But that's how the clue goes - so no shouting for any innaccuracies!

Dont be ridiculous please. It wasnt the beatles that created the "clues" was it, so whatever beliefs they may or may not have had is completely irrelevant. The fact remains he would have been 27.End of.

I think maybe Paul is both left handed and right handed, just a lil' more dominent with his left hand. I heard Mary can deal with either right or left as well...... anyways I hate this rumor.

Personally I think that the 'Paul is Dead' rumour was just as important and a part of the Beatles legend as the Jesus comments, the rooftop gig and innumerable other parts of their life as a group. Many Beatle fans know about it and those who don't get a lot of fun reading about it.

Yeah the first time you read about it you go WHAT???
It kinda creeped me out the first time
What I always thought was interesting was how the badge paul wore in SGT Pepper's said O.P.P (Ontario Provincial Police) and was mistaken for O.P.D (officially pronounced dead).

Part 2 Of Teh Investigation/Evidence
Frankly I enjoy talking about this rumor, I don't know why people think it's a stupid part of Beatles history, I think it's hilarious.
SOOO I happened to be watching Yellow Submarine today and I remembered to watch the "All Together Now" part at the start very closely, the part where they're all singing and dancing.
Everyone remember this picture? Maybe not, but there's two Pauls! Well I saw this in Harbidge's "Officially Pronounced Dead" Updates Thread (where the picture is from) a while ago and still remembered the pic today when I watched the movie. The picture creeped me out the first time, but now I realize what it really is. Looking at the picture it does look weird, but I can guarantee everyone here that if you watch this part of the movie, it's a totally different story. I watched this part maybe 10 times over (lol I have no life) and I noticed Paul makes the exact same movements in both his "forms" at the same time, therefore, he could be on a screen, maybe being filmed. That picture is kind of bad quality, but as soon as I get our computer dvd player fixed I'll get some quality screen shots to show everyone... But even still if you look closely at this picture too, you will noticed that both Pauls are doing the same thing.
*waits for Harb to answer*
