What non-edible items have you microwaved?
I microwaved a CD to see what would happen. Nice light show. Smelled like shit afterwards.

I think the only non-food item I've ever microwaved is a dish washing sponge. I read somewhere that if you zap them for a minute it disinfects them. I don't know if it actually worked, but it's worth trying at least once, right?

Supposedly my cousin was in a hotel with some friend once, and they blew up those mini-shampoo bottles in the microwave.

I've zapped soapy cloths, so I can use them to deep clean the microwave.

there's this cloth thing with rice in it like a big long snake that you microwave and then put it on a stiff neck for therapy.

Aimee, why in the blue hell did you microwave a CD? That sounds pretty damn weird to me.
As for non-edible things I've microwaved - well, let's see. Oxygen. Oxygen is present everywhere and it is present in the microwave oven whenever I am using it.

We have one of those! There's also helpful with tension headaches.

This may be my favorite Links thread ever. Never thought of using a microwave for something other than food, lol!

I have a bear that has a wheat bag in it that you heat up and put back into the bear to act like a hot water bottle!

Oh.
There is this thermal bag filled with grains that you microwave when you want to put heat on your sore muscles after you swim, bike or walk the neighborhood. That's a nonedible item I've heated in the microwave.
Seriously, though, microwaving CDs seems way out there to me.
