Quacamole and tortilla chips, plus the sweetest tomatoes ever!

And "the last thing you ate" thread continues...

They are just the little grape-shaped tomatoes that are sold in little plastic bowls with the recloseable top--you can just pour them out on your plate. From a grocery store, they taste the closest to homegrown of any. (I got mine at Kroger's.) I took some to our little New Year party in the breakroom at work, and our pharmacist, who'd never had them, just raved about them.

Oh don't make us sound all alcoholic now It's cherry, as in they look like cherries...or something?

And they're called that in English as well, I thought... But you're right though, we do pronounce it more like "sherry"

Dark sour dough rye bread with avocado, tomatoes and alfa-alfa sprouts, spiced with a bit of zesty lemon pepper. Some physalis fruit and a few chocolate raisins for dessert.

Default A sprout by any other name

No. The Swedish word is blålucern. Actually, I believe alfalfa to be a corruption of alfa-alfa, which, alongside lucerne, is the common name widely used in agriculture for this particular plant. One reason to prefer Latin names, in this instance Medicago sativa. However, it doesn't really matter, does it, as long as we both know what is meant? There's hardly any other sprouts to confuse it with, is there?

(link in case you don't know)

They taste so good but you can't have more than one or two because they're little gut bombs.
