Unhappy Now what?

I now have a complete Purple Chick collection including the deluxe versions, A/B Road and the live discs. For outfakes I have Fab Forgeries 1-3 and Hoops and Garters... and of course I have all officially released CDs. Is there anything else I need? I've been looking at the Lazy Tortoise series but it seems I've already crossed the line into overkill. I have decent chunks of solo boots, maybe too much. I feel lost now thinking that there is nothing more to look for. Where do I go from here?

Sit back and enjoy it.
I am kind of glad that I have everything I need. Especially with the PC collection, and the few LT titles I wanted the audio bootleg search is almost over.
Ofcourse with Paul still recording and touring you can still continue hunting up his live bootlegs.

I am more into dvd's nowadays, so perhaps that's what to search for next.

One of the nice things about having almost everything is when you're reading a book such as Recording Sessions by M.L. or a Doug Sulpy book, you can listen along.

I'm still a bit confused over what is contained on the Lazy Tortoise series. Is it mostly press conferences and interview type stuff? Is there any music? Which ones are more download worthy?

I'm not much into DVD, although I am downloading Let It Be as I write this (to replace my VHS copy of a copy of a copy) and I have plans to download Paul's Rockshow. Watching something seems like more of a time investment than listening (said the man with enough music to play continuously for more than 130 days 24 hours a day).

Now I will try to sit back and enjoy.

Apart from press conferences there are many live recordings as well.

From Rome to Blackpool is at least download worthy,
and if you haven't already got a bootleg of the Strawberry Fields recordings and John's mellotron improvisations, September 1966 - February 1967 is worthwhile.

Makes for another discusion, do you download only so we can have all this stuff, or do we also want to listen and enjoy it?

I don't have time to listen to it all, but I do want to make time to just sit back and listen to some of it.

Since I'm a novice to bootlegging I actually only collect to listen to it. I'm sure if I was more sophisticated I'd just collect for the satisfaction of having.

It has nothing to do with sophistication, it's more like a sickness or addiction. I started out just happy with what I would find or wanted. I only have two vinyl Beatles bootlegs and five of John. Now I'm worried there's something I missed. I know I will never listen to it all, especially all the Get Back/Let It Be material but that's OK as long as I have the disc space to keep it.

Keep it simple if you can. I'm looking through the solo stuff and most of it is all mixed up. Maybe Purple Chick will do the same for the solo stuff that they did for the group stuff and gather it all into related collections to make it easier.

The octaner blog contains mostly mp3's. Anyway I have put on a long list of blogs at the top of this forum, where one can download stuff, haven't you looked at those? Lots of sites where you can download PC to be found there.

I used to have "Strawberry Lane" which was mostly the SFF demos and early takes, and it was great. For some reason I deleted it the other day. Is there a better bootleg of it than "Strawberry Lane"?

Also, what's the best place to get all the home recordings, like the ones I've heard of We Can Work It Out, and She Said She Said? I think those are great.

Silent Sea's Complete home demo's, is curently the best out there if you want all the home demo's.

As for the Strawberry set,
I am sure most if not all of the versions are included on the PC series,
but I still consider the Pegboy cd "It's Not To Bad" as the best out there.
Tho Strawberry Lane has it all also, you might just want to download that one again.
