Default Next Set Of Reissues

Any word on the next set of Remasters from the Paul McCartney Archive Collection? From getting McCartney and McCartney II they had a small add telling us the next set of albums to be reissued and they are RAM, Venus and Mar, Wings At The Sound of Speed, and Wings Over America. Any word on release dates and etc?

I'm as anxious as you to get an answer to this. These are the albums I've been waiting for. Particularly the extras from Wings Over America.

@Colonel: All I can find is the order of releases with no dates, and that too is always subject to change. I'm guessing they will want to come out with at least a few for the ChristmaHannauKwaanza shopping season. "Wings Over America" is slated 7th on the list Colonel (crafty name by the way), which is good because it needs a major overhaul. I'm lucky to have the Japanese Columbia release and will be anxiously awaiting this one too.

When you say Japanese Columbia, do you mean vinyl or CD? And what's the difference other than the Columbias are rarer? Any audio disparity? I have vinyl Capital, but my CD is Parlophone.

The 1999 CD version Toshiba-EMI--the Columbia mention was my error. WOA was remastered/released for a very short time in Japan and it sounded better than the discs I bought in 1989. I don't think they were remastered anywhere besides Japan. Anyways, they're rare as hell now and very expensive. I have to hope that this Archive addition is given alot of TLC because even the Japanese remasters leave something to be desired but at least they don't sound like they were pressed on tin-foil like the U.S. CDs.

Can't wait to get "Venus and Mars" and "Wings Over America" on CD (I didn't buy the previous releases on CD but have been listening to the vinyl albums recently) but am less bothered about "Wings At The Speed of Sound" (again, I've been listening to this on vinyl recently) and "RAM" which I'm not a big fan of.

:)

... any word on WHEN ?

Like I've said before, at this rate, a lot of Paul fans will be where John and George are, before they finish with those re-issues...

I've been hearing rumors that Ram would be coming out this Spring. Can anyone confirm this?

I'm really looking forward to this release the most. I sure hope "A Love For You" will finally be released as a bonus track.

Online listings hint at next Paul McCartney reissue

There's been no official announcement from Paul McCartney's record label Concord Music Group, but according to Amazon.com, his "Ram" album will be the next in the series of Paul McCartney reissues.According to the Amazon website, the "Ram" reissue will be out on the streets in the U.S. on May 22. The Amazon website lists three configurations. There will be the high-priced book edition, a deluxe edition and the standard edition a few dollars cheaper, according to the listings. There are no details of what extras will be added. It should be noted these are advance listings and could very well be changed. As all are listed as single disc releases, that would seem likely.
