Default Last album you bought...

I've seen threads like this on a few of the other boards that I'm on, and always find them to be a bit of fun. Point of this thread is to simply tell everyone what your most recent album purchases are.

Sooooo... that being said...

I just bought...

The Moody Blues--December
Regina Spektor--11:11
The Best of Sham 69
That Thing You Do soundtrack
Walk Hard (the Dewey Cox Story) soundtrack
The Zutons--Tired of Hanging Around

How about everyone else? What are the latest albums you've purchased (and any time you buy more... come back and tell us... it can be quite interesting to see what music other people find...)?

(And... I don't know how to do it... but... if this thread catches on... it might be a good one to sticky... thanks, mods...)

The last ones I bought were actually for my wife for Christmas. They were:

Paramore - All We Know Is Falling
She Wants Revenge - She Wants Revenge
Silversun Pickups - Carnavas

The last I bought for myself was:

Tokyo Jihen - Variety (the Japanese albums hurt because they're soooooo expensive)

Oh I forgot about Ringo's Photograph album. Does winning it in the trivia contest count as a purchase?

The Wall

Dan Fogelberg's "The Innocent Age"

most recently: haven't got around to listening to The Wall, in fact it's still sealed.

In the last month or so:

*Talk Show - Talk Show. A 1997 album done during a STP hiatus; it's basically the band but with a different lead singer. Has some good songs but it's not that great.

*Beck - Odelay. Just reissued last week with a bunch of B-sides and stuff. I hadn't listened to the album in years because this deluxe version has been in the works for at least three or four years and it's not as great as I remember. But it does have some excellent songs like "The New Pollution," "Where It's At," etc.

*Monkees - Headquarters. Last year's reissue which I'd never gotten around to getting. Love it.

*Smashing Pumpkins - "Tarantula" single. Picked it up relatively cheap for the B-side which was surprisingly good.

*Smashing Pumpkins - Pisces Iscariot. A bunch of B-sides/outtakes from the Siamese Dream era. Has some great songs and I think a lot of bands would kill to have songs like these, not just as B-sides and outtakes but in general. But it's not nearly up to the standards of any of their regular albums besides maybe Machina.

Robert Plant and Allison Krauss - 'Raising Sand'........I heard it at a friends house and bought a copy on the way home. Maybe best album so far this year. If you haven't heard it, you should. I became a fan of Bluegrass after viewing 'O Brother Whwere Art Thou?'. Gone,Gone, Gone (written by Phil and Don Everly) my fav song from the album, just won the 'Pop Vocal Collaboration' Grammy.
Last night Plant and Krauss headlined CMT Soundstage. All I can say is WOW! Besides performing songs from 'Raising Sand' they did a few Led Zep songs. Who knew that 'When the Levee Breaks' and 'Black Dog' would fit right in with a banjo and fiddle?

I got that one for Christmas. I love it... such a different feel from a lot of what I listen to.
