Default The "Beatles Tweets" thing.

I find that it causes the page to be a little sluggish when scrolling & that it's terribly distracting.

So -- WHY???

I like it! Reminds us that they are so current people are tweeting about them.

I kinda don't like how a lot of the time they're bad tweets about the beatles.
But it's nice every now and then for when I zone out and just read some of them.

Well, to me it sort of says "Let's leave this forum and go somewhere else talking Beatles." Kinda weird.

The Beatle Tweets thing just resized the page as someone used a really long word and it stretched out the page like it does a forum post.

It's seems that when I'm on, the people sending tweets are using language other than English, so I've no idea as to what they're saying. Hadn't noticed it slowing things down tho'. Interesting.

I find it kind of annoying, I have had the same thing happen to me that Aimee described earlier, I also find most of the posts are in languages other than English, another reason to just ignore the tweets.... Guess they are a sponsor?

Well on my end, when I'm using the mousewheel to scroll, it lags pretty signficantly when a new tweet pops up. When there's a bunch of them popping up it's an awful time trying to scroll.

This is what happened to me when I was reading Menlove. The whole page suddenly resized itself. Extremely disconcerting!

Wow I have never experienced any of those problems! It must be a time issue - perhaps not as many HUUUGE tweets are going on when I'm online. I still like the little feature and was all pleased to see a BeatleLinks tweet on there the other day! But I'm sure I would feel differently if I had the same problems you guys have encountered.

I'm sure I can force it to fit in the space, I'll check it out.

Thats exactly what happened to me. I wouldve taken a screenshot but it was a private message which was private.

This just happened to me:

Not only did the actual forum get reduced to half its width, but the page actually stretched to make room for the entire post.

Considering I'm on my phone this is big.

All the descriptions above are the same things happening to me, I am also having problems with a lag in my new posts posting, sometimes it sits there forever, or I keep hitting enter and nothing happens, a few posts I have just abandoned because I did not have the time to wait any longer, I am on DSL, so speed on the net is not a problem for me and entering posts has always been almost immediate here.

Well my problem is lags while scrolling. It does this on all my computers so it's not a lack of resources on one.

By the way, DSL is generally not.... considered "fast." It's maximum 8.448 megabits per second, and it rarely gets close to that. (My cable internet, on the other hand, can reach 20-30 megabits per second.)

(Megabits are different from megabytes.)

Unless you have two seperate connections to the computer, I don't see how that is possible. Even if you did I don't think you can use both simtaneously.

Jerry can viewing the tweets be an option? It seems like it only is a problem on some users systems? I haven't experienced the sizing problems, but do sometimes notice a delay.

Ok I made a quick change. I guess let's see what happens. Lemme know if the whole page gets resized again like it did before. It's not really an option, and they're not a sponsor or anything like that. I just thought it would be cool to have something scrolling along like that. If it's a big problem, then I can just remove it from the forum pages.

Well, I've had a couple of instances but not as many as before. Whether it's coincidence or not, who knows.
