Rolling Stone #528 -- June 16, 1988
Dylan also got together with George Harrison, Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne and Roy Orbison to record "Handle with Care." The song, which all five wrote, will be released only on a Harrison single in Europe. "It has a Dylan flavor," reports Orbison. "George is singing the verses, but it has all of us in it." How Harrison, Petty and Lynne are working on a song for Orbison's upcoming album on Virgin Records.

Starting with a meal among Roy Orbison, George Harrison and Jeff Lynne, the group came together at Bob Dylan's home studio in Malibu, California, to record an additional track as a B-side for the single release of Harrison's "This Is Love". Tom Petty's involvement came by chance, as Harrison had left his guitar at Petty's house and Petty came back with Harrison.[3] The record label, however, decided that the song that resulted, "Handle with Care", was too good to be released as a "single filler".

I am curious why this all is being posted - without being negative about it - but.. like you say Aimee, also the first post, 'we all know it', and also it was never released as a Harrison single, not in Europe and nowhere else, which also is common knowledge?

Interesting to read some of these old articles from when they still didn't know better.

Personally I enjoy most of your Petty posts Aimee. I think the info that 'we all know' may be info that not all of us know. There are a lot of younger fans that hang here who might not know the back story on certain parts of Beatle lore. Seeing as how George and Tom are forever linked through the Wilbury's, I think it's good to see the stories from years ago. It takes me back to when it was really happening and not just memories. Nice find and thanks.

Oh I enjoy the Petty posts a lot as well, and even more the Wilbury history which I read over and over, so it's not that, I am just trying to find out what it is with this tiny article.
The date - ok a good hint Aimee, thanks but still, the article is dated before the Wilbury releases, so...
Also that quote from Roy interests me "A Dylan Flavor" looking at the real Dylan Wilbury songs I miss the Dylan flavor?

It's a mistery to me Aimee where this is leading to but every Wilbury thread is worth getting in to.
