Hey Kristi! I knew you were in the Chicago area, but didn't know you were actually in Waukegan! My dad lived there when he was younger!

Awww, I remember Snoopy! I'm sorry to hear about her! She sure lived a long time & I'm sure you have a lot of great memories!

I moved to Waukegan, from Palatine, nearly two years ago. Yes, Jack Benny is from Waukegan too. :) They have a Jack Benny Junior High School here.
And yes, I have many, many memories of Snoopy. I still miss her.

Snoopy sounds like she was a delightful little hound. I have a female beagle who is now 12. She's the best dog I've ever owned. Beagles are beautiful, lively and intelligent little dogs who are family friendly and a lot of fun. Please accept my condolences for your loss, Kristi. Snoopy sounds like a lovable little hound.

Yes, she was a wonderful doggy I still have a picture of her on my website. I don't think I'll ever take it off there.

I know what it feels like to lose a pet. When wifey and I met, she was at home with her Mother, sister, brother and their beagle. Get this...the beagle's name was.... Chastity Daniel Dafoof. They called him Danny or Chassie for short.

After we were married, we ended up with him as everybody moved to apartments and we were the only ones in a house with a yard. Chassie lived to be almost 18 before he had to be put down.

A few years later, we got a Peek-A-Poo named Killer. Had him right up untill we moved to this apt. building and had to get rid of him because of a no pets rule. A teacher took him as she lived alone and wanted the company.

Male
Age 34
Oakland, California. Lived in San Francisco Bay Area cities for most of my life.

Study: Went to a number of colleges and failed a lot of classes before dropping out in 1995. Majored in Art (painting) and Creative Writing, which were the only classes I really cared for.

Work: Several years doing secretarial/office work. Currently not working.

Married: Never have and probably never will. My temperament seems more monastic than matrimonial.

Kids: None. But I like most kids very much. Somewhat childish myself.

Pets: I can barely feed myself. I love all God's critters, but an animal would likely starve in my care.

Fave colour: Gold-yellow, like the color of hay in the late afternoon sun.

Fave food: Indian. But I love almost anything that's very spicy and vegetarian.

Fave thing to wear: Loose-fitting cottons (not tough like denim) that don't put too much pressure on my circulation. Plain colors with little or no embellishments. Simple is best.

Hobbies: Playing piano (though it's been a while, since I had to sell my piano a couple of years ago), Japanese animation, Eastern spirituality

Other music I enjoy besides the Beatles: Mozart (especially The Magic Flute and his piano concertos), music from Japanese animation

Fave Beatle: George, because I admire yogis and people who put spiritual ideals into practice

Briefly describe how you discovered the Beatles: I started liking a few of their songs on the radio. Also, when I was about 13, my Social Studies class played the movie, A Hard Day's Night, and I was so enthralled by the energy and resonance of their voices. That summer, I went on a bicycle tour of England and France with a group led by our middle school principal. Nothing I saw in those countries made much of an impression on me, except in the French city of Cherbourg, where I went to a grocery store and bought a couple of Beatles tapes. I could play the Beatles while bicycling through the Loire Valley. All in all, the trip cost a couple of thousand dollars, and all I really got out of it was some good Beatles music. My sense of personal finance was never very good, but I rather thought the trip was worth it.
