This hot air is certainly more than Bill O'reilly and Sean Penn combined.

"The real name of rapper Eminem is Marshall Mathers III. His first album, "Slim Shady LP," included a song about a man killing the mother of his child. The singer explains to his daughter, "Where's mama? She's just taking a little nap in the trunk/ Oh, that smell? Dada must have runned over a skunk." Eminem won a Grammy in February 2000 for this vile album. Eminem's "The Marshall Mathers LP," which appeared in June 2000, is described by a secular music reviewer as "an hour-plus of vile, hate-filled spew, dripping with references to rape, murder and violence toward women, gays and pretty much anyone Eminem doesn't like. On the opening track, the rapper even threatens to rape and kill his estranged mother, who in real life is suing him for remarks he made about her on his debut album, 'The Slim Shady LP'" (Dan Durchholz, "Eminem tops the charts and goes over the edge," St. Louis Post-Dispatch, June 25, 2000, p. F3). The Bible warns, "The eye that mocketh at his father, and despiseth to obey his mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it" (Proverbs 30:17). In spite of this, the new album sold 1.7 million copies in its first week, making it the second biggest opening week for any album in history. Within the first month it sold 5 million copies. After living with his high school girlfriend, Kimberley, for years and having a baby girl out of wedlock, Mathers married in June 1999. Less than a year later, on June 3, Mathers found his wife kissing a man outside a night club and assaulted the man with an unloaded gun. In July, Kimberley trashed their living room and attempted suicide by slashing her wrists (Rolling Stone, August 17, 2000, p. 38). In August, only 14 months after the marriage, Mathers filed for divorce from his wife."

Re: From thewayoflife.org
After reading that ridiculous excuse, I had to go back and read who else they trashed on this webiste. The list is quite extensive and includes, among others, Harry Potter, the Fat Boys , Mick Jagger, Veggie Tales , Halloween, female clergy--"The Bible clearly states that the man is to lead in the home and church, and the woman’s role is to submit to the man’s headship" --, J.R.R Tolkien, Jimmy Carter, and Oprah Winfrey. As we can see, our boys are in some pretty distinguished company!

Veggie Tales? I thought those videos were produced by a Christian company, too?

Re: From thewayoflife.org
For me personally, listening to George's music and his words have made me come a long way in appriciating spirituality and respect for the beliefs of others.
but...
may i say, that if "Heaven" is full of super-righteous and judgemental Christians, Mormans, Catholics, Baptists, J Witnesses, suicidal Muslims, and other extreme cultists of the like then i'd much rather return back to earth again and again in search of the true God.
A couple quotes come to mind:
"Nothing's worse than Ignorance" - George Harrison, Brainwashed.
"The kingdom of Heaven is within us, and if you look hard enough you'll see it." - John Lennon
Thanks, this allowed me to go off a bit, one day after watching that 'vile' movie Life of Brian for the first time yesterday-- fantastic! Highly recommended for anyone who finds the text in the first post laughable and pathetic.
Peace Love and Truth.

Re: From thewayoflife.org
I've been going through the site and now i can't stop laughing. I can't believe that there are actually a considerable number of people who really believe this. Its sad really but when you read the other topics it gets to be quite funny that these people are so willing to tell the world about what kind of idiots they are. So far i have discovered that Hollywood is evil, Harry Potter is really evil, the Lord of the Rings is satanic as well. actually, pretty much everything is evil, except the Bible- BUT it has to be their Bible. and, my favorite, Rock n Roll is really really evil. there are SEVERAL RnR related articles about this, not just the Beatles but also U2, the Stones (mainly just Jagger) and even Christian rock groups! Check this out: http://www.wayoflife.org/fbns/rocknr...hipcircus.html
the leader of a Christian band is quoted as saying "Rock and roll is what we love, but worship is who we are. We are out to move the heart of God, and the language He has given us is rock and roll."
and the website's response is: "We don't believe this for a moment."
i thought the quote from the band leader was great, good for them and good luck to 'em!
"
Preacher out there warning me about Satin
Could be that he knows him, he acts like he is posessed
I said, 'Hey man lets hear about God realization for a change'
He said 'We don't got time for that, first you must deal with the evils of fornication'
"
George Harrison, Horse to Water
(ah, there's a Beatly quote for almost everything)

Re: From thewayoflife.org
Wow, that guy I knew must have not been the real John Lennon, because he was not much like the guy described here at all. He had his problems, but nothing as dark and horrible as all this. Whoever wrote this needs to have their a** sued for libel.
Flaming pies, a truckload of 'em, for this nasty little person!

Re: From thewayoflife.org
Blasphemy and grossly inaccurate shite like that makes me want to cry. Leave the Beatles alone already, nobody is frekkin' perfect, especially a bunch of uptight, manipulative hypocrits like those "Christians"!
If they are an example of "Christian love" then the Beatles were right.

I once read that George said his mum came up with that line, BTW. Thought that was funny.

Re: From thewayoflife.org
Just wanted to say that I am a Christian and I love the Beatles. (and Veggie Tales )..Yes, the boys may have done some stuff I don't agree with, but their awesome music overshadows that. Everyone does things they regret. And no matter what or who it is, you're always going to have someone that is overly critical. I've learned to kinda turn a deaf ear to people who love to slam the Beatles because like many of you have said, there are MUCH worse things out there today. And there are lots and lots of great Christians out there who love the Beatles, so try not to let a few give all of us a bad name. “The present rock ‘n’ roll scene, Lennon’s legacy, is one giant, multi-media portrait of degradation—a sleazy world of immorality, venereal disease, anarchy, nihilism, cocaine, heroin, marijuana, death, Satanism, perversion, and orgies”

There was another link from that site (i would connect to it but I don't have the time at the moment) about George's death. Most of the things they say are so ignorant that its actually quite funny but anything about George specifically would only serve to piss me off. so I only read the first paragraph but it basically said that George had just died and all though he had found God- it wasn't the right god so the fact that he had found a God didn't really matter. what is that?! Is this some kind of game-show?
Sorry Frank, God is the correct answer but your god is not our judgemental and overbearing god that we worship so... see you in Hell Frank.
sheesh.

Re: From thewayoflife.org
Whew! I've felt the flames of perdition off this one!Well...bluntly, most people that claim to 'know' Christ dont at all. Dont care to. I was burned and treated worst of all by Christians during my divorce. "Christians' took glee in my divorce and encouraged my ex wife to move in with her boyfriend before we were divorced! So...who gave me solace during these times? God and His wonderful gift to us, The Fabs. A friend of mine was discussing working for a Christian radio company, and I told him to remember, Judas was the first Christian businessman. We are pretty happy with our "Left-wing Christianity". We're not perfect, not pious, sure do get into it with God at times..... but we dont trash folks who bring peace and love. So everyone that would trash Christianity and Jesus because of a bunch of Judases... please think twice? (stepping off soapbox..)

One of my favorite statements made by George is where he said that if Christianity was the true religion (?...or something like that)(and now I quote)"..it should stand up to a bit of discussion."
