Default The Definitive Mixes version of Paperback Writer

Hi all,
I'm a big fan of Beatles bootlegs and reissues of the Beatles catalouge that sound better than the original CD releases. I was thrilled when I got both volumes of the Definitive Mixes. Paperback Writer is one of my favorite songs, and there is an extra fade ( I don't know the correct terminology) on the last refrain :

If you really like it you can have the rights
It could make a million for you overnight
If you must return it, you can send it here
But I need a break and I want to be a paperback writer
Paperback writer <----Here

Now the definitve mixes are supposed to be the way the songs sounded on vinyl. Is this true? I never heard it on vinyl, and I don't have any Beatles records, although I do have a record player. This extra fade is really different from the versions issued on Past Masters and The One CD. I am aware that Harrison was displeased with the quality of the 1987 releases, and there are differences between the mono and stereo versions of the songs. What accounts for the difference between the two versions? The stereo mix on this version is also different from the offically released version. What do you guys think of the Definitve Mixes in general?

I don't have "the Definitive Mixes". Do you have a tracklist somewhere or more info. can't find it on Bootlegzone either. Not sure if I have that version either, I have to do some more research.

I do have a bootleg with the complete version of "Paperback Writer" which doesn't fade out at all, but breaks down. But that isn't reaaly what you mean, when talking about an extra fade.

We do have a place for discusing bootlegs on this forum, an excelent one I might say. It's simply called bootleg network, hope to see you there also.

I have the song in Mp3 format, and I am willing to host in that forum if anyone wants to hear it, I just need to figure out where to host it...

I was going to to put it in the bootleg section, but its just easier to stick it here. Watch me get yelled at for putting it in the wrong section. We'll see.

I downloaded the torrents The only Beatles albums I've ever paid for are the Capitol box sets, 1, Magical Mystery Tour, and Let it Be...Naked. Lol. I'd be willing to start a bootleg blog of sorts and post volume one and two, with album art. That way people who don't want to torrent, or don't have the bandwith, or don't know how can enjoy the music.

The topic about mono mixes from the Revolver album made me look for a bootleg I have with mono mixes. I forgot it also had the mono 7" version of "Paperback Writer" on it. Not sure if this is the version you mean, but I did compare it to the version on "Past Masters" and the last refrain does indeed sound different, I would say it's faded out more and has more echo as well.

Think we just have to wait till Batman returns.
Can't download the mp3 he posted either, so I am still curious if the version I've uploaded is the one he's talking about.Tho I am pretty sure it must be.

Apologies for the delayed response, I was busy watching Superman Returns. I will upload the album tomorrow, someone borrowed my external hard drive which I have it on.
