Default Now that we've all heard "MAF" several times...

... What are your favorites listed in order? Here are mine:

1.) House Of Wax
2.) Only Mama Knows
3.) Ever Present Past
4.) See Your Sunshine
5.) That Was Me
6.) Vintage Clothes
7.) Mr. Bellamy
8.) Feet In The Clouds
9.) The End Of The End
10.) Dance Tonight
11.) Nod Your Head
12.) Gratitude
13.) You Tell Me

I like the fact that I had to fight myself over where to place a few of these! Love this album.

Pretty much agree with the last few songs, only "Gratitude" is my least favourite. The one song I am having problems listening to. "House of Wax" is a very powerfull song, great guitar work and for now one of my favourites from the album. However when including the three bonus songs from the Deluxe version, "Why So Blue" is my favourite song.

1 Why So Blue
2 In Private
3 House Of Wax
4 Feet In The Clouds
5 Ever Present Past
6 Mr. Bellamy
7 Vintage Clothes
8 Only Mama Knows
9 That Was Me
10 Dance Tonight
11 See Your Sunshine
12 The End Of The End
13 222
14 Nod Your Head
15 You Tell Me
16 Gratitude

Ugh! You're going to make me buy the deluxe edition, aren't you???

So... have people been pulling off the little picture card from the back of the jewel case, or are you leaving it on there? I'm leaving it on.

With Paul it's often the case that his best songs are hidden on (cd)-singles and as bonus tracks on special releases. So yes if you haven't already done so, the Deluxe version is the one to buy.

I will probably just by the three bonus tracks on iTunes and handle the dillemma that way.

Yeah I think I will do the same thing.

At the moment my 2 top songs are Mr Bellamy and See Your Sunshine. I'm still not ready to rank the rest just yet!

Alright I'll give it a go.

1)Mr. Bellamy- Just a fanatastic song, I love the horn part and incredible coda

2)Mama only knows- Paul's best rocking number in years, sounds like something straight off a wings album.

3)House of Wax- This really builds up superbly well, I love the guitar work.

4)Feet on the Ground- Really catchy, I like the harmony bits at the end.

5)Ever Present Past

6)See Your Sunshine

7)Vintage Clothes- Love the backing (mellotron?) sound.

8)That was Me

9)You tell me- I really love the acoustic guitar work.

10)The End of the End- Great lyrical work, but not too melodic the whistling in the middle doesn't really suit the song.

11)Dance Tonight- Suprised it is the single. It is immeadiately sing-alongable but there isn't really much to it.

12)Nod Your Head- I don't mind this song, Paul was always good in rock mode.

13)Gratitude- Filler.

11. Feet In The Clouds
12. You Tell Me (maybe in a lower key, it would have worked a little better for my ears, but I still love it...)

I THINK IT'S A CRACK UP THE WAY PAUL IS PROMOTING THE CRAP OUT OF MAF LIKE ON YOUTUBE AND EVEN AMAZON.COM HAS HIM TALKING TO BUYERS, ALL RIGHT SIR PAUL

1. Dance Tonight
2. Mr. Bellamy
3. Ever Present Past
4. 222
5. In Private
6. Only Mama Knows
7. Vintage Clothes - That Was Me - Feet in the Clouds medley
8. Why So Blue
9. House of Wax

I really like the album as a whole, so it's hard to pick faves. Some are just happier than others and more danceable. I love it all! :)

Default My ranking

1. End of the End (only song that really got me all emotional)
2. Mister Bellamy (great nod to the days of old, with fresh arrangements)
3. Ever Present Past (lovely, playful, historical I agree)
4. Only Mama Knows (fantastic guitar work)
5. Why So Blue (should have been on the 'regular' album, great song)
6. You Tell Me (love the dark arrangement and the obscure atmosphere)
7. That Was Me (honest set of lyrics, great vocal delivery at the end)
8. Vintage Clothes (kind of drags out when echoing the song's title towards the chorus. Nice intro)
9. Grattitude (terrible arrangement of what could have been an excellent gospel-like hymn)
10. See Your Sunshine (lyrics, serious lyrics issues)
11. Dance Tonight (it's short enough)
12. In Private (great melody)
13. 222 (great feel)
14. Feet in the Clouds (not muy cup of tea)
15. House of Wax (sorry, can't get into it. Maybe with a couple more listens?)

I will write a full review when I get a relief from all these "job" issues.
