No, I would say it was The Jackson 5.

[quote=beatlegirl9977] (Would we say the same about Paul and Ringo if they decided to tour together?)
QUOTE]
A friend gave me a DVD of The Monkees last tour and I was actually pretty horrified at how they sounded and looked. Neither Paul nor Ringo come across on tour in the same "desperate to re-live our previous glory" that The Monkees did on this DVD and there certainly wasn't that vibe about them when I saw them perform together at the Concert for George so I can't imagine that being the case with them if they toured together elsewhere but in my dreams. Furthermore, I had seen an interview with Davy less than a year before that tour where he said "I have a scar on my face from where I had to get stitches following a fight with Peter, I can tell you now that The Monkees will never tour again" so for them to announce 5 minutes later that they were hitting the road again sounded kinda weird. Maybe the promise of something such as money or a few screaming fans helped change his mind?
Please don't forget, I am a big Monkees fan so it pains me to say that but it is TRUE!!!!!

As a Monkee fan, it pained me to say how awful their movie Head was. I only saw bits of it, but holy crap! I know there are fans out there that say it was creative and blah blah blah, but I thought it was terrible.

Well, the movie has its moments--but they're few and far between. It's good to see once, just so you've seen it...but it's not something I'd actively add to my DVD collection.

There's a few really old topics about the Doors in general in Not Only a Northern Song, but not a Beatles v. Doors one. If you want that topic on the board, you can go ahead and start it.
