Default Avant Garde A Clue

If you dropped in to visit John at Tittenhurst Park. What interesting piece of 'art work' would you see taking a walk around the grounds?

Nope, unfortunately the answer isn't Malcolm Evans, but that man was a work of art.

Hint: Think of it as accidental art.

Would the interesting piece of artwork be the sculpture that was made from the car that John and Yoko had their accident in while driving in Scotland in 1969?

You'd see John Lennon's wrecked Aston-Martin. He had the totaled car mounted on a pillar at Tittenhurst Park.

Is that the information you were requesting?

The car, a British Leyland Austin Maxi, was smelted down into the shape of a cube and placed on a pedestal in their garden.

The key word being accident in the little hint I gave. John had an accident in his Aston-Martin. Instead of junking the totaled car, it was turned into 'art' being placed on a pillar at Tittenhurst Park was the answer I needed to award the point.
