If by that, you mean the girls of the Beatles, then I'm for Linda McCartney all the way! She's partially my photographic idol, and also one of the reasons I went into vegetarianism. She was so great because she didn't necessarily NEED Paul. Their love was something increadible that I really believe was 1 in six billion, though.

I was most taken with the Beatle girls who were with the boys in the 60's. So although I admire them all, my favorite would have to be Jane. She's a smart, ambitious, talented woman who didn't need Paul in order to define her Plus, she was cute and her beautiful red hair made her unique!

I've admired Linda for a long time... & once Olivia joined the picture, I found many qualities about her I admired as well. I'll say they're my two faves. But all the ladies are cool!

Jane Asher was a wonderful accessory for Paul; beautiful, talented, intelligent and from a wealthy, cultured family. But she's also an independent, no bullshit sort of woman who's life did not revolve around him. Her desire to continue with an accomplished acting career had as much to do with them splitting up as his philandering and few opportunities to spend time alone did. They may have shared a special relationship during the mid '60's; but Jane was never destined to be the love of his life. She's my favorite Beatle girlfriend or wife.

I could never quite understand why model Patti Boyd didn't have dental work done on the gap between her maxillary central incisors; but she's still gorgeous.

Maureen Cox wasn't unattractive; but comes off as sort of plain-looking compared to foxes like Jane and Patti. She looked better in the late '60's with long blonde hair; but it's difficult to find good photographs of her. I believe she got pushed further into the background than any Beatles significant other. A few tidbits: I always thought Paul said "Thanks, Mum" when the girls cheered at the end of Get Back. I guess Maureen was yelling the loudest and he actually said "Thanks, Mo". George had a brief affair with Maureen and when asked why he'd cavort with the wife of an ex-Beatle, he replied "Incest." I must not keep up with the ex-wives like I though; Maureen died on December 30, 1994 from complications of mylodysplasia, a form of leukemia. To his credit, Ringo was by her side along with the family members. Paul dedicated Little Willow from the album Flaming Pie to her memory.

Q: What do you call a dog with wings?
A: Linda McCartney.

Ok, it was a lame joke during the '70's and it's less funny now that she's passed away and everybody realizes what a significant part she played in Paul's post-Beatle days. For their fans, Linda was sort of in a no-win situation regarding who the cute Beatle should marry; no woman was going to be satisfactory. Although she was conventionally attractive; she didn't have stunning good looks. But Paul's opinion was all that needed to matter and by all accounts, they enjoyed a fabulous marriage.

John's attraction to Yoko Ono continues to be inscrutable almost 40 years after they met. I do believe that she got a bum rap during their early years together; but alot of that could've have been from John's infatuation and his insistence that the world embrace her like he did. As Paul once said, It wasn't as if we HATED Yoko; that's such a strong word. I think John's problem was that we didn't LOVE her." And I don't put much blame on her shoulders for the band breaking up.

Depending upon which biography you believe, Cynthia Powell mattered very little to John and they only got married because he knocked her up. To her credit, she hasn't been scandalously vocal about their years together or vindictive regarding John's alleged mistreatment of her. Perhaps it's been exaggerated or pushed to the background like everything else about her was.

I must be one of the few people who didn't think Linda was ugly.

I disagree about Marreen. I thought she had pretty eyes. I like her better with dark hair and less eye makeup. Her blond hair looked dry and straw-like.

I like them all! If they were that special to one of the Beatles, they all had to have "something" in the way they were/are...

I truely do love all the Beatle ladies. I like qualities in all of them, really. I'm a lot moe drawn to Yoko, Cyn, Linda, and Patti than the others, for some reason. I think its mostly because I know more about those 4.
