I've seen it - it's good! I like those "pre-python" things, like "Do Not Adjust Your Set", and "At Last the 1948 Show". There was another one called "The Complete and Utter History of Britain", but I didn't enjoy that one as much.

I went to a lecture hosted by Michael Palin about the 1948 show and the History of Britain.

I think he likes talking cos he is always doing lectures, he did one about Ripping Yarns and various other comedy related stuff and he is also always lecturing about his travels.

I would love one of his lectures some time. I met him once during a book-signing in Chicago. I waited a long time, but it was worth it. He signed my copy of Hemingway's Chair. He was so nice, and yes I think he likes to talk!

I have met him a few times too, and I am also lucky to enough to get the odd email, he write to alot of his fans. He is also good with names, he remembers mine if ever there is an encounter, he is away at the moment filming in Eastern Europe and emails me and a few others updates, i have done lots of travelling myself and he like to swap travel stories.

Remembers your name... and emails you?? You must've made quite an impression on him when you met him!

Not at all He keeps in contact with alot of people and he is very good with names too, he still writes to people who first sent him a fan letter 40 years ago, he is a prolific writer of all sorts. He refuses to drive a car in London because of the green issues and uses only public transport and likes nothing better than to strike up a conversation with who happens to be near him, says he bores them stupid but i can't imagine that. He still lives in the same house he bought in 1966 right next to run down tower blocks in North London and refuses to buy a mansion, just an ordinary bloke really. We struck up a friendship through a friend of mine and because we swapped travel pictures.

That's cool Sadie! I've always wanted to meet Michael. Everyone says such nice things about him. I could've met Eric Idol once & missed him. (Darn it all!) Love those guys!

Arlie has finally started to try and eat me out of house and home, and he can have whatever he likes cos i cannot bear to see his little twig legs anymore. He has also started to get up and about on his feet again although he is still quite weak.
