Does anyone else on this forum watch this period piece drama set in the 60s? What do you think of the current season?
Admittedly I've been underwhelmed with this season. Don repeating the same mistakes over and over again has become tedious. His affair with Sylvia has fallen flat in my opinion.
The highlights for me this season have been Peggy's developing relationship with Stan. I do enjoy their friendship. I've been enjoying the return of thin, bitchy Betty.
I wish I hadn't read this! I just got interested in the series a couple of months ago and have been watching on Netflix. I had it set up to record the new season but the first four episodes didn't get recorded so I'm having to wait. I knew Don would probably be back to his old ways eventually and I'm glad there's more of Betty this season. The one thing that gets me about her is how terrible of a mom she is - always sitting around smoking or drinking, slapping Sally in the face, never playing with the kids. She's got some problems alright.
She certainly won't be winning any mother of the year awards, but Betty has had some bad ass moments in the series. One of my favorites is Betty getting revenge on a neighbor for being mean to her children.
