Re: joan and molly
I don't think that there has ever been a reference by George to who these ladies were/are, but my impression that it just went along with the lyrics and are supposed cleaners.
But, I will look it up for you.
I do know who Miss O'Dell is, but you probably do too.

Re: joan and molly
If you look for in the credits of soma albums you will find "Joan and Molly" in the "thanks to..." for exmaple in George Harrison and now I'm thinking and I don't remember in what album appear Molly and Joan.
Love
Joan

Re: joan and molly
The written lyrics in I Me Mine of the Ballad, show that George first had 'clean the stairs' and changed it to 'sweep'.
Must be something with cleaning or so.

Re: joan and molly
For our new members.
------------------
"The weirdness of his not being there was hard to take for the first few days," Lynne admits, as he sits in the large room at his home where he had recorded some string parts for Brainwashed. "But once you got into a song and listened to the vocal up front and big, you could feel the vibe he put into it. Then the weirdness went away, and it was like he was around, and guiding us in some way."

Re: joan and molly
OK, Which is.......
------------------
'I kept getting down on my knees in front of George, saying, 'Please! It's so much money,' Petty said. '[But] like George says, 'I can't see waking up in a hotel in Philadelphia and having to do a Wilburys sound check.'

Who molly is.:
I know this is an old post but Molly was house keeper to George Harrison. She was my grandad cousin. Apparently George was really good to molly, he paid for her to go on holiday once a year and his son went to her house for fish fingers 😂
He also went to her funeral.
