My adventures in this book are from true happenings back in 1964 as I lusted after George Harrison (in my own innocent way) and did my best to meet him -- which eventually I did, after a really crazy set of circumstances.
So... Dear Sir or Madam, will you read my book?

Hey Judy!
I've just returned from Beatle Week in Liverpool, (among other places!), and I thought you'd appreciate hearing this.... While standing outside the Adelphi Hotel, this guy named Glen, who is the spitting-image of George, was asked by a fan to pose for a pic "reading" your book, "A Date With a Beatle"! Glen commented that he hadn't yet read the book, so I told him he should - that he'd enjoy it. Anyway....noticing he was using a digital camera, I was going to ask the guy taking the pic for a copy to send you, but when I turned back, he'd completely disappeared! I am including the link to Glen's MySpace page in the event the pic turns up, (or maybe you can even make a request there - I've a feeling the guy was a fan of Glen's). Glen advertises himself as a George tribute artist and look-a-like, so I'm not giving away any personal info. It's Glen Knowles . So, "George" was photographed reading your book! Isn't that great?!!!

Good news, Judy - the photo is on the site! I don't want to copy the image here as it isn't mine to do so with, but you can check it out at Glen's site!

WOW!!!!! And wait til you hear this!
I was asked to have a book signing that will benefit the Lupus Trust (Julian Lennon is a patron) at St. Thomas' Hospital at their WH Smith's store in London on August 25th! AND... George look-a-like Glen Knowler is going to be there at the signing!!!!
Also.... all copies sold anywhere in the world that day (of A Date with a Beatle) will benefit the Lupus Trust!

I just got your book and read it at home in one sitting (I normally only read on my work lunch hour). I couldn't put it down! How clever you were to write all those hotels! (and the part with the ladies of the evening made me laugh out loud!)
and of course I can't talk to much more about it for fear I'd give the big climax away to someone who hasn't seen it yet!

Who could forget Judy's lawyers, Over & Dunwith? How can you not love the names? A more resourceful fan could not be found. George was a very lucky Beatle to be so well loved.

I was overjoyed to get the reception I did in Liverpool!
And all because of my crazy teenage years, a good memory, well-tended diaries, and many friends who reminded me of some things I'd rather forget. :) Bill Heckle, who owns The Cavern and runs the festival invited me back in 2012!!!! AND... the book is being released in German this week - "Eine Nacht mit George Harrison" ... This is just soooooooo cool. Again, because of The Beatles ... I'm still a lucky kid! :) :) :) :) xoxoxox.... Judy

Hi Judith,
I just wanted to say I got your book at Beatleweek in Liverpool this year too - thanks for signing it for me! I think the little literary festival thingie they had was really good. Hope they carry it on. Are you thinking of writing any more books?
