For Sale in auction: Paul McCartney One Man and His Dog
hand drawn artwork.
This is a rare opportunity to own ‘One Man and His Dog’, a hand drawn, hand collaged, signed, unique artwork created by Sir Paul McCartney, one of most recognised, popular and influential performers of all time.
The Sir Paul McCartney Collector’s Edition ‘Artist Cover Bomb’ features a hand drawn ‘One Man and His Dog’ illustration inspired by the cover title and artwork for RAM, the artist’s second solo album originally released in 1971, and also by Wings Over America, originally released in 1976.
In the ‘One Man and His Dog’ artwork, Sir Paul has responded to shapes within the graphic pattern of the Collector’s Edition book cover to create a charming representation of a hatted shepherd and his dog – a direct reference to the RAM album title.
The RAM cover artwork was also inspiration for the hand drawn border pattern design, created by Sir Paul using pen on paper, which is collaged directly onto the cover by the artist using tape.
The 3 colour pens (red, blue, black) used to create the ‘One Man and His Dog’ illustration is the same colour palette used on the Wings Over America album cover.
This artwork is authenticated and archived by MPL, the Paul McCartney Communications agency. Signed and dated by the artist.
