But you haven't yet changed the picture! First, change or even delete the George picture (georgesleepy.jpg), reload your page and then complain!

I have to move by the end of the month. Dad's health has deteriorated so much that he's under Hospice care and won't be returning to his home. I've stayed with him since last November because I didn't want him to be alone in his condition. I'd hoped that I could stay at his place for a while while I settled some matters, but my older brother, who has Power of Attorney over Dad's matters, has been clearing out Dad's belongings and wants me out by December 1 (he and I don't get along; actually, he doesn't get along with anybody ). Fortunately, my youngest sister says that there are vacancies in her apartment building, so I have an appointment to speak with her landlord Thursday and I hope to be all out of Dad's place soon. Do I live a messed up life or what?

Ringo Cat's been staying with my sister since Thursday night. I finally got over to see her last night. My sister said that RC has been hiding under the bed and comes out only overnight. She did come out to sit on my lap for a second last night, but the surroundings, my sister and my sister's boyfriend are still unfamiliar, so Ringo Cat spent the rest of my visit back under the bed

But I had a good lunch today

My god, Jes, I am so sorry. (((((hugs)))))
I though your dad had been doing well.

How pissy of your brother to do all this.
He sure sounds eager to get a hold of whatever he can.
HE'S the one who's messed up!

I hope you get settled in somewhere soon with Ringo cat.

Thanks, everyone. I guess the worst of all this is Dad's condition. He's relatively stable now, but some days are worse than others. It's just a day-by-day situation now.

After re-reading my previous post, it seems to sound like my inconveniences concern me more than Dad's condition, but that, of course, is far from the truth; I cut and pasted most of that previous post from a PM I sent someone who asked about my having to move.

I haven't posted much about what's been going on with all this mainly because I don't like causing worry among my friends (of which I feel I have MANY here), but a few of you have been asking lately what's been going on, so I thought I should just make a public declaration. I hate being a drag with this news, but I guess that's what this thread is for, right?

Thanks again, everybody, for your concern and support; BLinks is a great respite when things get stressful or annoying here in Iowa.

Now, go try to answer my latest trivia question

I'm so sorry, Jes. Ringo Cat will be happy again when you get your new place and are all settled in. I think your kitty misses you?
Your older brother and mine could do lunch.

(((((((((((hugs)))))))))))

I have to get this off my chest or I'm going to scream:

Over on this other site, I made the off-hand comment that music wasn't that great in the 50's. This guy who grew up in the 50's got mad and accused me of attack him personally. I did no such thing. I just said the music of that era wasn't to my liking. He singled me out and asked me why I thought 50's music was bad. I said I was sorry if his feeling were hurt, but I don't think he should have challenged my opinion in public. Heck, people here bad mouth the 80's all time and I don't say anything. I just shrug it off.
